Hi Slymin! Thank you for your clear tutorials, I am new to astrophotography and enjoying your videos! Can you use the neximage 5 or 10 with the Celestron StarSense Explorer DX 130AZ? 🙏Thank you!!!!!

Pamela Gordon-Smith Glad you’re finding them helpful. With the short back focus on those cameras you shouldn’t have a problem focusing them, so yes they should work. The StarSense Explorer doesn’t track though so planetary imaging could be pretty tough.

I love all your videos! I’m Learning so much from you!! I have a nexstar 8SE with a NexImage 10. And for some reason it’s stuck in black and white.. is there a way to fix this? I’ve tried everything. And is there a way to use the camera as well as an eyepiece? Thanks mate from Australia!

William Chapman Your codec in your recording program should be set to an RGB derivative. You likely have it set to Y800 or something like that.

Good morning, how are you? My name is Julio, I'm from Argentina, I wanted to ask you a question, maybe you know, I have the Nextimage 10 camera, but I want to use it with my macbook air M2 but I only find oaCapture as an option. Do you know any alternative for Mac since Celestron told me that iCap is only for windows and they don't plan to develop iCap for Mac. Thank you very much, best regards

As a beginner to astronomy, I have a Celestron 9.25 Edge Hd. I have a Canon M-50. Would you use the next image or the M-50. Im having trouble finding the t-ring for the M-50 Thanks and I do enjoy your videos.

What microscope is that? I cant find it on Celestron's website.

Hi again, could you link to where you go the o.5x focal length reducer? The ones in Google search show a lot shorter barrel, which I assume length is relevant when attached to a microscope, which I have, as well as a Celestron 4SE

Hello from the future, I just ordered the Nextimage 10. I read this still comes with a DVD for the software? Of my 5 computers none even have a disk drive lol, wondering if anyone knows of where I can find a download of the most recent software and/or a better software alternative for astro photography that is compatible with this camera.

I'm planning to get it for my bday coming up adn this helps alot but still both are really epensive than I orginally thought. Can this be used on the astromaster 130EQ?
@matthew21823 жыл бұрын
It can be used in any 1.25" adaptor... so basically where the eyepeice goes. It would be best to have tracking otherwise you will be split between keeping the planet in view and messing with settings on a laptop... it just gets harder when you include a barlow to get the detail. I would say a cell phone mount with a bluetooth remote would be better if you're using an unguided scope.
@JMPGX3 жыл бұрын
@@matthew2182 thanks I actually ended up getting a phone mount anyway lol
@matthew21823 жыл бұрын
@@JMPGX A 3x barlow and 9mm eyepeice would complement that if your scope can push it. You'll be dealing with a lot of unsteadiness at that magnification but all you need is 3 mins of video at 60fps to be able to get a good stack out of it.

@@matthew2182 i have a 20mm eye peice and 1x barlow lens that I'm gonna use

Can this be use imaging m42, m45 or m31 ?
@matthew21823 жыл бұрын
I think their limited to 10 sec exposures so I mean "technically" yeah you could try to go for those targets but its mainly for planetary imaging. These things are outdated already but still functional... look into ZWO's latest lineup and fish around in the low end for something better but equally priced.
