Definitely recommend Celine Dion can sing everything video - just to see the different styles/genres she's performed over the years - therefore the different vocal abilities you need for them. If you like her french stuff i recommend Priere Paienne from Live A Paris 1995. Or Le Blues du Businessman from the same concert. Love them!! Btw, don't feel ashamed - its never too late to discover a singer or band - the point is, you do!

KZbin brought me to your reaction. I LOVE watching the "next" generation discover Céline. I grew up listening to her ( I actually have met Céline a few times as I have friends who have worked with her). I was a very young and early supporter of that talent. This song she sang as a CALL BACK at the end of a concert and when I 1st heard it live ( after having sung for over 1 hour) I remember thinking "oh nooooo after such a great concert and she will not be able to sustain this song .... BOY was I wrong! LoL This actual recording was for a TV special filmed through Disney ( they discovered her for Beauty and the Beast ). The concert was filmed with a live audience in Québec in the ( at the time) newly restored theatre LE CAPITOL. The audience was made aware she might be asked to sing a song or part of a song again for footage and they LOVED it... she sang this song 4 times!!! if you watch carefully around 4:20 on your video you see her stepping back... she had to hit the mark for lighting and the audience starts applauding because they had heard the amazing melismatic riffs before... she is pretty unique ( as all artists should be) but, IN MY opinion, she is the most versatile singer I have encountered. I have said in back in the late 80's it is not the prettiest voice but her musicianship makes that supple instrument the most impressively versatile voice. And she actually sounds AMAZING live. ( I have seen many many many of her shows in MTL when she was starting as well as in Vegas for both her residencies) Anyway I am just blabbing on now... glad you enjoyed. I hope you get to discover more of her repertoire... it is impressive.

Thing is with Celine - people dont really know the half of her career - half of it being ing french as well. So they can be quick to dismiss her as all theyve seen in north America. And for me most of her big hits arnt the ones that particularly show case her range. Her best stuff is from the 80s/ early 90s. She is ridiculous.

Well for me there’s only two Celine and withney why? Because the big difference between Celine and withney compared to Mariah is that the 2 of them had for withney before she ruined her voice because of crack and in the case of Celine now is that they have a monstrous powerful voice and could stand a very long note perfectly because they have stamina compared to Mariah who never had a monstrous powerful voice and doesn’t stand a very long note because i think and it’s only my point of view Mariah is just not in shape to do so besides those things they they have all the same qualities in other areas of their voices 🧐🥰✌️
