I’d say after 17 it sucks. Semi perfect cell is a “fight of the week” style saga. He gets his azz beat by Tien which is fun to watch but makes cell not scary. Then a beat down from Vegeta and a bunch of empty screaming dialogue between him and Trunks. Then perfect does the same thing, Goku beats him but doesn’t really beat him. And goku dies in a totally empty way because we see him the whole time. Gohans ascension is good plot. But nothing is serious or for keeps in the same way as Saiyan or Frieza. Imperfect Cell and Future trunks are awesome though.
