Hi Mr Shadi. As a matter of fact, for me, it is the first time that I encounter such a comprehensive, detailed, and simplified presentation about CELTA assignments. This is a free lecture and the way I see it, the expression ( THANK YOU A TON ) is not enough to convey the magnitude of gratefulness that I feel towards you. You are unique in the way you give these presentations. KEEP IT UP

Hi Shadi, I'm preparing for CELTA online. I have started reviewing all the grammar with "Grammar For English Language Teachers" (Martin Parrott). Then I studed "Leraning Teaching" (Jim Scrivener). Now, I am studying each assignments, trying to understand the expectations. Your video are great. I wanted to compliment you... very clear, concise and helpful. I have been teaching for 20 years in Asia, South America and the Middle East. I decided o pass the CELTA diploma and I'm so glad I found your material. I just finished the whole video and I'm sure it will help us succeed. Thansk a lot.

Dr. Shady, I am an English teacher with 25 traditional years of teaching. I am in a Celta course now and really i have a hard time. if I don't pass, could I find any virtual teaching course tutor for CELTA to help me.
@Britishey Жыл бұрын
You do not need that. I advise you to follow a series of videos on this channel called: frameworks. So whenever you have a lesson, watch the video related to it while planning it. And good luck man.

what are the best ways to detect the interference of the Arabic/ Mother language >? as in your example. used to play vs I used to do
@Britishey2 жыл бұрын
It comes with experience. This type of experience can be personal or observatory. So as teacher teaching Arab students you notice the mistakes that happen because of Arabic interference. Sometimes you think of yourself as a learner and how you made mistakes because of your mother language interference. You can also read a book called "English learner" by Michael Swan.

Thank you so much Dr. Shady for your detail oriented video. YET, I doubt sth in the pronunciation grid. You've mentioned that the Arab students tend to say /p/ instead of /b/ which is not real. I guess you wanted to say that Arab students tend to say /b/ instead of /p/ in 'people' , ' apple'.. etc. Please let me know if I am mistaken. Thanks a bunch ! :)

Thank you very much for such an interesting and useful video! Among some common pitfalls, there was focusing on the problems that aren't appropriate for the level of the TP group. I must've missed it watching the video, so we shouldn't mention anything from higher or lower levels here, right?

Mr. Shadi do you offer online tuition on zoom or consultations regarding academic writing to pass Celta's written assignments?
@Britishey Жыл бұрын
I do not do this because as a CELTA tutor myself I can say that this goes against Cambridge regulations. Assignments have to be done completely by candidates. But my friend you have support for all the four assignments here.

In the Pronunciation Grid there is an error in the second line for "I want to be like you" Arabic students would say: /aɪ wɔnt tə pi ɫaɪk ju .... "pi" When they should say: /aɪ wɔnt tə bi ɫaɪk ju/ ..."bi"
