I've followed all your videos and you are by far the best ever teacher of Celtic art. I don't understand why anyone who started with the basic 1,2,3 to learn construction can't follow on these. I've done tis cross several times without any problem and even altered the size to fit. Bless you oh wise one!

Well, thanks to you I have yet again taught a 7th and 8th grade art class how to make the Celtic knots and crosses. They loved it! Even the kids who struggled with other art projects were successful with this! When challenged, people rise to the occasion (with a little help from you!). Thanks for sharing these great videos on Celtic design.

Hi David! Sitting here across the pond from you and just wanted to thank you for this series on Celtic Knots. Absolutely brilliant and once I picked up my pencil and started drawing these knots came together just like you said they would. Your videos are so easy to follow and your humor is so appropriate. I also appreciate how you handle the few negative comments you receive. How anyone could complain and find fault is beyond me. Who cares if the video isn’t 1080p and perfectly edited. I didn’t come here for your video editing...I came to learn how to draw Celtic Knots and you have taught me exactly how to do that for which I am very grateful. Keep up the great work and best wishes!

David Nicholls I'm trying to do this now and I don't know where or how many circles to place and unfortunately, I just can't quite see it on your one because it's too pale. So I'm kinda lost. Maybe I should be trying easier ones first and then I'd know about placement of circles. It's just a thought - maybe show the actual circles and lines of the base pattern for those of us who are really new to this. Also, I got lost because you only did a very few lines and I needed more to be honest. Many thanks. I hope you don't mind me commenting like this. 😃

Thanks to your excellent teaching, I have already created two birthday cards, using celtic knotwork in the shape of a capital letter (or two). However, they were both easy - ie., no curves (T, and K, etc). Is it possible, do you know, to do the same thing with, say, a P, or am I really asking too much?!

Edit: The celtic cross has a circle in it... so this is just a christian cross with celtic design. The celtic cross is a pagan symbol. Nearly all celtic designs had pagan origins. Nearly everything in Catholic Christianity in the west is a mish-mash of pagan myths/tales/symbols. Edit: But I agree, just be a good person. Take care of your family and friends.

I think before you start criticising, you should look at the first video onwards. These set out in great and explicit detail the basic methods of construction. This video (No 11) is obviously more advanced. I feel offended by this! 'Sorry' would be nice!
