Breaking news! I have finally completed the sheet music arrangements for "Sí Bheag, Sí Mhór", "Tabhair Dom Do Lámh" and "Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind", and they are available for purchase at harpmolly.com/sheet-music. Check them out!
My favorite O'Carolan tune (and everyone else's it seems!), played on my gorgeous Dusty Strings harp. It's my own fairly improvisational arrangement, so be forgiving...
This song is featured on my CD, "Maid on the Shore". The CD is available at CD Baby:

I had to come back for another listen. I play this tune on my whistle a lot. It seems to have an infinite number of variations. Maybe that's why it is popular. It's fairly simple but the finer details can be quite interesting. Like a canvas to paint your vision on. Once again, very nice!

I can tell your really passionate about playing the harp. I like to say that anything less, 'stains' both the Harps already dying heritage and its delicate sound. Its nice to see that there are people like you who 'become one' with this unique and beautiful instrument. It was a beautiful piece of music that was very well played. Bravo

Thanks so much! My harp is an FH32, which is now being replaced by the FH34 (pretty much the same harp, but with two more strings in the bass). There are still a few 32s floating around out there, though...you might try contacting Dusty Strings for more info. :)

Most of the CDs I have are generic and have mixed artists, but off the top of my head, some of the bands/singers I like are Dervish, Lunasa, Altan, Danu, Clannad, Loreena McKennitt, Cecile Corbel, and The Chieftains. I also really like Kim Robinson playing the harp.

Mark, Your kind words are very much appreciated! It is my own arrangement--I learned the tune from a fingerstyle guitar player (my great friend Davy) and I love how oddly syncopated he plays it, so I stole it. *grin* The harp is my beloved Dusty Strings FH32 in maple/koa. ;)

No problem! My harp has 32 strings, which is a nice range (though many people prefer a low C, which mine doesn't have). Regarding your second question, you can probably play a full melody on either of those harps, but on the smaller harp you won't be able to play as full an arrangement (depending on how wide a range the tune has) with both hands. But the 22 sure is portable! :D
