Fun fact: The Morrígan is a goddess from Irish Mythology. She symbolizes battle, strife, and sovereignty. She sometimes takes form as a crow, flying above warriors. Also, in the Ulster Cycle she also takes form of an eel, a wolf, and a cow. She is mostly considered a war deity comparable with the Germanic Valkyries, although her form as a cow may suggest a role connected with wealth and land.

I've read the Morrigan are also known of a triage of goddesses, and three is an auspicious number in both Celtic, Welsh, and Norse myths. She and/or her sisters, depending on the source I guess, are war goddesses that are connected to fate and destiny, much like the Valkyries and Norns. She lurks on battlefields to foretell death and I believe she is also spoken of as fierce and threatening, a terrific figure to any mortal or hero who comes across her.

This is beautiful, thank you. So many people, if they have even heard of the Morrigan at all, simply liken her to Kali in Hindu, a Goddess of death and hatred. Nobody ever seems to recall that both are also Goddesses of birth, protectors of new born babes and innocents. People think of "The Circle of Life" and always associate it with a cartoon, never stopping to think that it goes on all around us every day. Your song was a beautiful depiction of a woman so strong that she can carry a spirit into the world and bear it away again, without ever being defeated by the sorrow that must bring.

Beautiful song! Morrigan is the Celtic goddess of war. She is associated with battle, strife, and sovereignty. She often changes and appears in the form of a crow. Celtic warriors often cried out with crow sounds to invoke her help during battles.

I see ALOT of similarities in ancient cultures, its like we both want the same thing but express and do it differently you know? The celts and shamanism for example there are soooooo many similarities, the cult to nature, the elements, the spirit guids, the animal guides even The Other World in Celt mythology is present in a diferent way in shamanism. It is beautifull really ❤

The Iberian Peninsula and Anatolian Peninsula too. In ancient Lusitania, part of present-day Spain and Portugal, a Celtic language was spoken even before the Celtic expansion of the 8th and 7th centuries B.C. Some philologists consider it to be a non-Celtic Indo-European language, while others consider that a branch apart from Celtic would be a sister language to Proto-Celtic, although with a close relationship to it. A minority current maintains that it is not a Celtic language but an Italic one. On the other hand, the Irish descend from the ancient settlers of what is now northern Spain. (not lusitanians)

+Phillip “The Great White” Verano Yes and the celts were animists meaning they attributed spiritual progress to the animate and inanimate world.
