The many conceptions of the afterlife found in the Celtic tradition. Not comprehensive and I forgot to speak about the underworld attached to the ancient mounds. I will speak about that specifically in a future video.

I have only one recommendation, you should leave literary sources in the description of videos. As I would love to dive much further into this.

Any of the tales of the Oisin Cycle and the Red branch Knights and tales about Cú Chulainn get obviously translated from Irish Gaelige (Irish ) in English

13:33 This is why when taking my Dog's ashes out to a nature preserve that we used to roam, I intentionally carried her remains through the creek, thigh deep, before sparkin a fire and releasing some of her ashes into it with my brothers. It was her birthday a year and a half after losing her before I could even manage it... I know the Cú Dubh will find her as worthy as any.

Thank you for your work, I too have been studying in these fields. It can become quite difficult separating the foreign ideas from my ancestors beliefs. Disgruntled leaf network also had some nice work, sadly he seems to have gone afk.

Daisy Peters also, sorry this language is so confusing. English-speakers have a habit of taking words from other languages and anglicizing them, which probably makes it harder tae learn at first. Yer doing pretty good for a non-native speaker.

Returning to Tir na N OG is the best feeling there is. It's unimaginably good! There you are neaked 10 years old in water that's the perfect temperature on a perfectly sunny day, with a feeling of freedom that can't be experienced in this Dimension. This is why Celts have no fear of death. Why fear paradise.

Fascinating. Perhaps you could then say Water in the ancient Celtic world acts a bit like ectoplasm in the Spiritualist tradition; a medium by which Spirits manifest and become embodied. Which makes sense when you consider that the human body is mostly (60%) water, and ectoplasm is supposedly exuded from the body of physical mediums...

As to the Etruscan view of the afterlife, there's also the possibility they influenced the Celts,as well. The only reason that I say so is they also influenced the Romans, especially in their views of religion. Indeed, some of the various views of the afterlife may reflect the views of the different peoples the Celts came across

One single point of contention: I don’t think it’s a matter of either going into reincarnation or something else. Both are examples of reincarnation. Spirits are going to at least have subtle bodies to manipulate reality. It is a form of birth.

You don't need references. So much is distorted by language. Lost in translation. You have the Knowing, and no references could be cited. There wouldn't be enough room. It would short circuit the web. 🤠 AldaBeth

Present day Nagamese tribe of India also used to keep skulls of their ancestors and the enemies they killed. The young generation of Nagas are now Christians but some of their ancestors have still preserved their tribal houses/tents and their ancestral belongings... Now, they don't headhunt anymore bcoz the Church tells them not to as there is no need now. But the Naga Regiment of the official Indian army is still proudly known for head hunting... We Indians are proud of the bravery of Naga Regiment of our Indian army... I suggest u visit the Hornbill festival in Nagaland,India. Its amazing. ♥️🇮🇳
