Trevor is spot on about the Pacers not being a conference finals level team but, someone had to be there. It was the same with the Lakers making the conference finals last year.

As a Lakers fan I honestly don’t care if the Celtics won the championship this year. The Nuggets got a trip to Cancun and Mikey Malone got a huge slice of humble pie. I believe a Celtics chip will motivate the Lakers to stop being cheap and spend money for a great coach and fire Pelinka for a great GM

I am surprised that it took until now to bring up the possibility that the rumor of the Magic being interested in Dlo is from the Dlo camp and that possibly his agent is putting that out. Not buying it. Let him walk. He has been bad for two post seasons in a row.

they have been interested before as well… have 60 mil in cap space that they have to spend…. he will fits ther roster n what they need which is 3pt shooting n playmaking….. can get him w/o losing assets as well…. makes sense for both parties n you can’t argue that it doesn’t…..

Personally with the NBA getting their media rights deal done soon, expansion should be announced soon (hopefully by the end of the off-season, or at the 2025 All-Star weekend at the very latest) and i could see teams playing earlier than the 2026-2027 (IIRC thats what Keith said when he quote tweeted me). If its Seattle and Vegas they don’t have to scout markets and arenas for being “viable”. That and ownership probably already being figured out beforehand too.

The graphic regarding the 10% salary cap growth over the next ~10 years, starting 25-26 season: - is this why the NBA/CBA recently made changes that seem kinda "heavy handed" regarding trades? Specifically reducing the 1.25 trade allowance to 1.10. Cant combine contracts in certain situations, etc. That they are preparing for the salary inflation later and to avoid another KD situation (parity league)? Contracts signed now, would seem to be a bargain later, compared to the teams overall cap percentage?

I agree. It's silly when the media reports on something that they didn't even witness, and then give "predictions" on how things will proceed (in general and a majority of shows). But it's not like Trevor gave any strategic analysis. All he basically said was that he was hoping the Celtics would lose. I can't fault him for that 😊
