I am a Gonzaga fan and have watched Watson his entire college career. He is a great defender, great cutter and is second in steals all time at Gonzaga to John Stockton. He is going to do well in NBA if given the chance.

I have read so many comments where someone has said ‘I have watched every Gonzaga game he played’. Either he all you Zags fans are committed, or you have been making this same comment everywhere.

Considering the Celtics are dealing with the 2nd Apron and also have a couple of young guys in the pipeline(Jordan Walsh and JD Davison, I cannot believe you guys didn't mention him at all) I think it makes total sense that the team went for a coupe of older prospects who have the potential to contribute within the next year or two. Now the C's have a couple of guys they're trying to develop long-term while they have a couple of guys in Scheierman and Watson who hopefully will be able to contribute in the near future which I think is a pretty healthy mix of prospects(admittedly this is assuming the team signs Davison to an actual NBA deal with his 2 years of Two Way eligibility over, but I think they will).

For me it’s a wait and see with Davison. I don’t know that he’s done anything to lead the Celtics to commit real money to him, and as you said, he’s no longer eligible for a 2 way. Hopefully he plays summer league and impresses.

JD is probably gone very soon.

Wicked awesome late night banger as always, FTTF 😊👍☘️. I wanted our Celtics to get a C to help out our big man depth, but the Anton Watson pick is nice. Anton is 2nd in Gonzaga men's basketball history in steals only behind Jazz legend John Stockton, so I definitely like that part of his defense. Obviously, we gotta have both Scheierman & Watson begin in Maine in the G-League after the Summer League is concluded. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what Baylor and Anton will bring for our Celtics in the future, & then later on, I can't wait to see what they both do in preseason action. #FTTF4LIFE #BleedCelticGreen ☘️💚🏀 #ItsAllAbout19 🏆 #AllInCeltics #BostonFam ♾️

On the Payton Pritchard comparison with Walsh, Payton came in right away and showed that he was an NBA player. Walsh looks, as much as it pains me to say it, completely and utterly lost. He needs to show a real step up this year or he's a "two years away from being two years away" guy.

i know Ainge drafted Jaylen and Jason, and ya Pritchard worked out, but i really felt like Danny Ainge blew so many draft picks, he has never really been able to find that diamond in the rough. He drafted well at the top. but in 20 trys he should have hit at least one of the 12-25 slot picks (Young, Langford, Neismith) so many picks out the league in couple years. Picks he traded away turned out better. I think fans would be surpriswd if they saw a breakdown. Sam Presti he was not. his trades were great tho, minus Kyrie, hahaha.

Maybe a hot take but I don't think Walsh has a lot of potential. I don't know if he'll ever develop the skillset and versatility on offense that Scheierman already possesses. Hopefully I can look back at this and be completely wrong though.

I think there’s a good chance he never figures it out and is out of the league in a few years, but he’s clearly got lots of potential. He’s very athletic and has good positional size, his skill set needs to catch up which it may not, but he’s going to be very good if it does.
