Im not a fan of boston but im glad they won. They deserved it. No one since the warriors in 2019 has won the championship and made it past the 2nd rd the following season. Let's see if the celtics break that streak next season

I’d be really surprised if this team falls before the ECF. It has to be injuries to derail them because they are on another tier of great in the East. Other teams might improve, but at best they might beat Boston a few games but not eliminate them. I can see them going back to the Finals and even repeating.

I'm trying to think if any of those teams had as much success prior to winning--like, who was in the conference finals or finals for 80% of the past 5 or 6 seasons before finally winning it all? It would be a drastic change for the Celtics to suddenly lose in the second round based on what we've seen historically with them. So, do you choose to put weight on the historical statistic for all teams, or do you put more weight on the historical statistic of the Celtics themselves, to predict future Celtic success or failure? I'm thinking the latter, especially given that there will be no changes to the roster. I'm sure very few of those teams that never made it past the 2nd round after winning the chip the prior year kept their entire starting roster and key bench players in tact. Celtics are practically sending a carbon copy out on the court for the next couple of years. I think only injuries will change the roster effectiveness, so there's always that luck aspect...

I always liked how fans of the winning team act all cocky as if they did one thing to help win the championship. Be happy, excited, celebrate, but lose the attitude.
