Always more than 24 hours i wait some times i leave it for 2 days then i can get the maximum ammout of gold. If you do the precipitation in minutes you will get nothing. I leave the rock powder in aqua regia for 2 days. Precipitation is more than 3 days untill the solution become very clear as water

Aqua regia i always 2 days after two days i prcipitated with alluminium. Preciptating with alluminium i keep this for about 3 days untill all the gold drop and solution become clear. This method is easy and cheaper. I am really satisfied this method. Very thankfull my adventure.

I use SMB for precipitation as it forms hcl Na2SO4 and gold w aluminum will precipitate a lot more than gold.

Yes aluminum kills the nitric but you need a lot of aluminum . And you get so big mes and jelly from aluminum.. kil the nitric first then you need wery little aluminum .

Aluminium will cement most metals including Iron, silver and copper. It would be more advantageous to use a saturated ferrous sulfate solution with a small amount of HCl. FeSO4 will precipitate gold and only gold. Check for completeness with a strip of filter paper, Dip in solution and add a drop of tin-chloride solution. If a dark stain appears, there is still gold in solution, If unchanged, all gold is precipitated.

Yes you need to know hou much gold is in slution ! Don’t add so much aluminum .if is 1 gram gold in solution add 2 grams aluminum . If you add 200 grams aluminum then you lose ewrithing .

Dirty gold is black, or dark brown . Cleen gold is lite brown . And when you look in mikroscope you will see yellow gold . 🤣

I add urea to kil the nitric ! ! If you don’t kil the nitric then nitric dissolves the precipitated gold and you be adding more aluminum and on the end you get so dirty solution and big problem to recover the gold!!!!!!! And use week aqua regia too if you want to see the gold

Gold must be brown color powder . Black can be iron . Try use magnet if there iron it sticks to magnet. If you still thinking you have gold dissolve ewerithing in aqua regia and do stanus chloride test you must see purple color .
