Cemetery Strolls #15. Y Ferwig ( St Pedrog ). During my holiday in Wales. We moved down to South Wales due to the terrible weather up North. We was staying at a campsite up the road from this graveyard & when passing. I was drawn to it, I had no intension of going there. Well I'm glad I did, as I found a little gem, well for me it was. South Wales offers beautiful views & some where caught during filming.

If that's a poor example of Henry Woodyer's work he must have been a pretty good architect. Those Celtic crosses are impressive. It's interesting to see Welsh language headstones even though I can't read them. Verwig sounds like a Norse placename. 🪦

I'm in total agreement, I wish I could of got inside. As I have seen pictures of the windows from the inside. They looked stunning. I too can not read Welsh, but I'm going to give it a go & do a course on learning the language. I live a good Celtic Cross, plus yes your Correct. Verwig is a Norse place-name.
