Such a shame about the previous studio, proud of you though for standing up for your beliefs and keeping your morals strong. Damn though, that Selenite Studio place sounds wonderful. Love that it's witch owned and queer supportive, I imagine that might have been some of the issue with the previous place's owner. Looks and sounds like a cozy and excellent place to be and work and glad that other one, hard candy, also looks promising. One door closes, but a window slams open. Happy New Year to you and everyone who might read this!

Big hugs to you. It's hard when you're going through a transition, especially when the ending feels really painful. But the Selenite studio seems like a beautiful supportive, community oriented business and it looks like the doors you're walking through are propelling you forward. I love the inclusive aspect and how other people can set up their own shop items and merch. That looks like the sign of a good business and business owner.

I wonder if the owner found out that you were leaving because your values don't align with theirs and that's why they essentially said, "don't come back." I've had former employers essentially block me from conversing with other coworkers as long as I stay on the payroll, I'm fairly certain it's because they don't want me to "poison the pond" as it were, and potentially influence others to leave too. It's hard when bridges get burned.
@TheWitchOfWonderlust12 күн бұрын
Wow, I'm sorry that that happened to you. I mean, when I quit originally, I told the owner why I was leaving, and that it was because my values don't align with theirs. So I'm not sure what made her change her mind the day of, but that's her decision and she was in her rights to make that for herself and her business.

You’re such a great example for not only being bothered by whatever their values were that clearly weren’t anything good but also following your moral compass so strongly and stepping away from there asap, you’re such a strong person for that, I really love that about you! 🥰❤️❤️ I think this new place sounds much better and from the get go you’ve got to switch up the class name to fit you better and the values seem more aligned to you (and everyone who isn’t a douchebag really 😂) its cute that you’re able to sell little bits that you make there too, I really hope you’ll be much happier here 🥰❤️❤️❤️ I hope your friends and clients will come here to take your class instead 🥰❤️ love that you allow yourself to grieve about that loss too! I think the friction between you and the owner was due to your snake in the grass candle. And what's also interesting this year is the year of the snake, according to the lunar New Year.
@TheWitchOfWonderlust16 күн бұрын
Possibly, but this all happened early November, and my Snake in the grass candles are done first or second month of the year, and I see results up until July usually. Maybe this one had longer results.
@asash2116 күн бұрын
Not sure about the timing, but you spoke about the candle spell snake in the grass… could this be the result of your spellwork with the owner showing their true face… just a thought!
@TheWitchOfWonderlust16 күн бұрын
Haha you’re certainly not the first to suggest it! It is very possible, and this is exactly what I designed the candle to do. However I usually only do that candle in the new year and this began beginning of November so I’m not sure I’d give credit to a spell I did a year prior, but hey if so good for me!

I thankfully am able to live alone right now, but the apartment walls aren't the thickest. I do sometimes wonder what my upstairs neighbor thinks I'm doing when I'm being witchy. I'm depending on them having headphones in 24/7 like most people seem to these days. But I do think that witchcraft feels so personal at times, that it can be a weird feeling to practice knowing there's someone on the other side of the door eating breakfast or whatever.

Sorry to hear about Rockstar. I remember you being with them for a long time and really loving it in your older vlogs years ago, but it does seem like a New Year-sy spiritual restart for you to end working at a place you can’t fully support while opening new doors to other studios that hopefully do. 2024 seemed to have been kicking everyone’s ass, so here’s to hoping for a better and more fruitful New Year. ps: I like how you mention "if you don’t immediately love it, you’re not gonna wear it” YESSSS such an important thing to remember in a world that’s becoming rampantly consumerist everywhere but especially here in HK. While I’d love for Frankie to sell all their wares and get that bag sooner, it’s better that they go to people who will use them and appreciate them as opposed to being left in the closet.
