What I appreciate most about your content, Olivia, is that you're not simply regurgitating common/folk knowledge that we could find anywhere on any instagram or pinterest post. Your descriptions and theories are intelligent and grounded. And the way you speak is genuine, without affect or pretense. Thank you for this.

Just an FYI from someone with psychotic tendencies- if you are regularly seeing shadow people and are afraid, especially as a response to stress and lack of sleep etc or if seeing spirits is common in your family, i sincerely recommend talking to a therapist. These are classic signs of emerging psychosis. It is very hereditary but not always, and schizophrenia specifically often shows up in childhood to early 20s. If you find it interfering with your life and functioning, always investigate the mundane before the magical. I don't want anyone to struggle for longer than they have to, I have OCD with psychotic elements and it can be very debilitating and scary.

I am a practitioner and don't discount spirit work overall! I just wanted to give a PSA because I've been in that place. And it's also ok to decide that spirit work or even magic is just too much for you or too unsafe for your mental health. There was absolutely a time in my life where I could not entertain anything in that realm because it would send me into a tailspin.

This lady seems to live a lonesome life. Her paranoia and delusional thought do not seem too abnormal. Without interviewing her it would not be possible to get to the bottom of things. She might just be hallucinating, if so, her assumptions must be be based on her hallucinations which are far from reality. She in my opinion needs to see a clinical psychologist. Even changing her place of living would not be of much help. Although, her persona appears quite cool, calm and collected she suffers from some form of anxiety.

My home has a protector spirit. He is a previous homeowner. He lived in our home and fought in the Vietnam War where he died. He is just hanging out with us, watching, and protecting. Unsettling at times but not even scary. I put a candle in the window for samhain just in case he wished to cross over, but he is still with us. I believe he has decided to remain as a protector of our home and family. In a way, hes family lol. I have got to be off my rocker lol

My place was a homestead well over 100 yrs ago. Those folk's spirits linger. The wife will bake before dawn. I awake to the smells of cinnamon & yeast. Delightful. The hubs strolls through the near gardens & orchard on warm summer evenings. I smell his tobacco smoke. They are especially present when I'm working hard, and making the old place better. I think that if spirits can feel excepted , maybe they can be at peace. Others are caught in their routine path. Sadly not able to cross over to the other side. It's hard to believe that someone's life adds up to the spirit that they are. Not all watchers are protectors are nice, many are very mean.

I saw a comment calling watchers shadow people or shadow humans. I banished one about half a year ago. I knew he was there for some time after moving into my flat. Most of the time, he didn't do anything; he just "walked" through my flat. He wasn't terrifying, though. It was just unnerving to have him standing somewhere in the corner and watching however, I banished him as soon as he started to show up when I was in the shower. That freaked me out. Thanks for the in-depth video on the watchers! I find that name is really fitting for them.

@@julie3722 that's so interesting because I have been severely mentally ill for decades, doctors thought I was schizoeffective and hallucinating, but I never saw anything. Which was really rude pathologizing on behalf of schizoeffective people and indigenous spirituality. I've always believed what people can see and thought that I was spiritually underdeveloped if I couldn't perceive certain things. I would get scared random times what if a being shows up right now, I would haywire. Now i keep hoping. It must have been stressful to be emotionally struggling and seeing too

My parents’ property has a watcher. It can’t get into the house for some reason, but it’s on the property. Before we moved there, I liked to sleep with the curtains open. Even after we moved I would leave my blinds open at night. However, when I moved from an upstairs bedroom to one on the ground floor, I started getting this awful feeling like I was being watched whenever I had the curtains open after dark, and sometimes even during the day. I got into a habit of sleeping with the curtains drawn, and whenever I would go into the kitchen to get a snack or something, I would be able to feel it watching me through the windows out there. I assumed it was my imagination getting the better of me bc I was on the ground floor and the idea that someone COULD be watching me was scary. But now I live in a basement apartment and I don’t have any issues with the curtains being open, so I’m quite convinced it’s a watcher. Every time I spend a night at my parents’ the feeling returns, and it vanishes the second I leave.

This was an excellent informative video. I would add that, while they aren’t typically dangerous or high in intelligence, they do learn and they can become more dangerous if not addressed. Not only can they be detrimental to a person’s mental health and negatively impact various other aspects of a person’s health, relationships, and overall well being as an extension of a person’s mental state, that cumulative effect of instigating situations that cause an uptick in negative emotion is very much like the “beacon” you’re talking about. A “well-fed” watcher that repetitively contributes to the raising of strong negative emotion can become a beacon for other things. A bit of a snowball effect. And your theory about water is pretty spot on. Water, like every other thing in our world, has inherent metaphysical properties. Those metaphysical properties are similar to its physical properties. It acts as a conductor and an amplifier. Love this content. Thank you so much for making it and sharing it with others. 💕

@@TheWitchOfWonderlust Annie (hope I’ve spelled that correctly) mentioned in her video that she still senses it near the property from time to time. I think it’s likely to stay near that water source until it comes into contact with another source of the energy it needs to feed from. I similarly wouldn’t be surprised if the watcher you called Zane left with your father’s friend at the end of his stay with your family. Seems very likely, based on your account, that he was a better “food” source for it. Many apologies for so many words. This particular topic just really struck a chord with me. @@AriaIsara lol… that might be oversimplifying it a bit, but you’re not wrong. I do wholeheartedly approve of talking about something in such a way that allows us to override being so afraid of it that it induces a sense of panic. Sort of akin to the idea that you can be fully aware a poisonous snake is more afraid of you than you are of it, but you still wouldn’t pick it up because you know better. You’d also give both venomous snakes and leeches a wide berth in the wild, but absolutely no quarter in your home and it’s pretty much the same with Watchers. 💕

I came here from a banishing video....I've been in the craft. Since I was at least 12-13. 23 now. But as a preteen/young teenager. I was always terrified to leave my window open at night. It was always unnerving for me if it was. And for so long I didn't really get why. But hearing you describe what you'd see as a watcher. Sent chills down my body cause that's very similar to what I use to picture on the other side if I didn't close my blinds and curtains. (Edit. I spoke with my dad about this video and the watchers. And Apparently it was something I talked about a lot younger)

Really enjoy this video. As a professional who conducts paranormal consultations and clearings, I would likely categorize this as an attachment. The energy isn't necessarily interested in actually hurting you, they just want to feed from you by making you feel certain things or behave certain ways. They get in by attacking the mind, through clairaudience, placing ideas, things like that. Also your peers we're onto something! Water, while cleansing a lot of the times, is extremely activating as well. I love this video, I hope you're doing so well. Can't wait for the next one. 🤗

At first I thought it was postnatal deppresion and started to question my sanity, I've grown more protective of my daughter who is now experiencing psychic awareness like myself possibly through my female line, we do have gypsy heritage on my grandfather's side. This spirit will not cross over at all and is very stubborn, seems to want to drive me crazy but my witchy spirit will not allow it. I've saged and cleansed my home but one room is now uneasy where I change my child and get her dressed but her nursery is very protected. I would love to seek more professional help but a bit weary

I had to deal with a poor spirit that had all the attributes of a watcher (E.I, feeling a tall, gaunt, unnerving presence. Energy leech) but it also had a kind of scary ability to create chaos that it also fed on, i don’t know if that was just the people in my houses reaction to it being here. But i know chaos correlated to it being here and that it liked to feed on that chaos. I began living with my mom again and our interactions got so emotionally violent, so I had to get rid of it. I think me and my family had an incident with a watcher, I never saw it but I could feel it. Every single time I would go into the garage to do laundry or even to grab something I could feel it watching me. I thought I was making it up until my mom eventually asked me if I felt like something in the garage like she did, she's even more skeptical than I am so I knew something was up even my sister wouldn't go in there. Eventually it started to get more comfortable and would stand RIGHT BEHIND you if you went in there, most unnerving experience of my life. Eventually it got so bad the thing followed me into the house which it never did before I banished it back to the garage and then my mom's indigenous gave her some sage and told her to smudge the whole house. Thankfully it hasn't come back.

I've experience something similar in my childhood home. My friends experienced it while I was away with family, and I allowed them to stay over. I always felt something, and I believe it was also the cause of my childhood night terror, a repeating dream of a red desert with a red sky, with geometric shapes vibrating so intensely that I felt I'd be ripped apart, only waking when the whole scene would implode onto me with the feeling of claustrophobia and feelings likened to chalk on a chalk board. this being, however, did eventually present itself one night when I was alone in the spare room as the painted walls dried in my own room. I heard what s9ounded like someone coming up the stairs, pressing down on the wooden banister and making its way across the landing all while the house was empty, I could see through the crack of the door that nobody was there, but I felt and heard it like there was, I knew the sounds of the house i'd grown up in. the moment it reached the door, it paused, and the door moved wider as if by a breeze, which there was none. I felt it enter, and as it did, I felt it seemingly teleport from one side of the room to the other, next to my bed. It was huge. I couldn't see it but feel its shape and size. twice the height of a human with a thin frame in comparison, full of envy. It hung over the bed because the ceiling prevented it from standing upright and I could feel it trying to initiate fear in me to begin the feeding cycle, ultimately creating a loop that would strengthen my fear. I reacted as any sane person would leaning away, saying "okaaaaay". I turned the light on and stayed up until I could no longer hold my eyes open. the next day I burned a pile of incense in a brass bowl, closing the door, envisioning light filling the room. after a while I returned and opened the windows. I've not felt it since, although it could be anywhere in the house I suppose. The imposing nature of this room is a peaceful one after these events. I know it appeared to come upstairs but something told me that it originates in that room, the movement outside of it was actually still in that room, metaphysically speaking.

Four years ago I had an experience with a “watcher” being and this makes so much sense looking back because of magic that I started practicing. The light that magic shines in the spiritual realm was so bright it attracted this being, that was wolf-like, predatory. It gave me a sense of anxiety and my heart raced when I woke up, and that anxiety was something I never felt before. It was different. Like someone watching your every move from the shadows. Finally seeing this video I have a better understanding of what I dealt with and now I must go create protections and wards ✨

My thought when she was describing the story about the table is that this entity deliberately targeted her. The way she described the urge to stop what she was doing to go the shop and buy this specific table sounded very intentional on the part of the spirit. That ties into the idea that in the spirit realm or astroplane that your energy can "shine brighter" and make you a target. I think these entities are deliberately trying create fear and negative energy that they can feed on. Makes me wonder if a lot of the conflict we see in the world around us is actually being incited by these kinds of creatures to manifest a food source.

Thank you so much for this video! Lately I’ve been dealing with more spirits and entities. It makes sense when you say the more magick that you do, the more spirits will become attracted to you. I’m also someone who had been going through a lot so spirits tend to be attracted to be people who are facing life issues/difficulties. I think a video idea that would be cool is possibly a cloaking your aura spell/creating a protective veil to prevent some spirits bothering you and pushing them away. Happy Halloween 🎃

Funnily enough, a watcher stopped by right as I was watching this video. Right next to my house, there used to be a large property with an apple orchard, a pear orchard, a big hill, and and even bigger mansion. This whole property was a HUGE source of energy for the whole neighborhood. The pear orchard and the hill were at the front of the property, hiding the house and apple orchard behind it. Both the pear orchard and hill were very inviting and friendly feeling, and the owners of the property let all the kids come play in just those two areas. I believe the hill was the land spirit of the area. A really inviting, cozy sort of spirit. My area used to have a lot of hills until they were removed for houses, it was one of two left in my neighborhood, and it was the center point of my entire neighborhood. I remember feeling so close to my friends who lived on the other side of it, and now I feel oddly disconnected. The apple orchard was tucked in the back corner of the property. That was the fae's place. It wasn't scary or anything, but it definitely was like, this is not yours, you better be respectful. If a ball accidentally rolled into the apple orchard, kids would always be really quiet and slow when retrieving it. Now, about six months ago, a big real estate company bought the whole property and tore everything down. Ever since then, fae activity has pretty much stopped. And it's definitely been a lot harder to practice since then. The company has been pretty unsuccessful getting people to buy plots of land for houses, so there's just this giant gaping hole where so much life used to be. Occasionally there's a house or two, but they look very ominous and alone in this big darkness, especially at night. This has kinda bled into the empty spaces of my backyard. The back patio and our deck being the only real comforting places at night now. I believe that once the land spirit was removed, and all the fae, there was this giant negative space where many watchers and other spirits have kind of filled in. Now, almost every time I do any sort of working, there's watchers quite literally at my back door. I had a pretty bad run in with a particularly malicious one a few months back. Anyways, I was working on a quilt for my little sister this evening, listening to witchy stories on KZbin as I often do. I always try to imbue just a little magick into the quilts I make, trying to make them this sort of magickal safe space I guess. My brother was upstairs for a moment while I was doing this, and I had some incense going that he didn't like. He jokingly opened the back door and kind of swung it a few times to clear out the smoke and then opened all the windows. That's when I noticed an immediate change. Funnily enough, there wasn't any weird feeling about the front windows, only the back. The worst part of the whole room was the largest back window that no longer has a screen on it. Bad energy was just flooding into the room. I shooed my brother downstairs and grabbed one of my chicken's eggs, and swept around the whole room and myself, before chucking it off my balcony and into the empty property next door. I then lit some candles, said a simple little invocation, and moved on. Really not too bad. I think it is pretty funny I just happened to be watching this video when it happened though.

It was funny actually when you mentioned hollowed out eyes and a gaping mouth as characteristics of watchers. I ran into one a few years ago. I would have been, what, 14?? We were heading to the snow here in Australia, and we were staying in one of the little overnight houses in Hunter Valley. The house we were in was fine, clean, looked new, blah blah blah blah blah. The centre room, however, felt really weird. It felt off, and I told my parents about it. They said there was nothing, and even mum said: “yeah, it’s fine. Nothing’s gonna hurt you.” (Mum is like a spirit magnet and can often read those things really well. Though now I’m thinking she said that not to scare me, but she did feel something there hahaha). I felt it on top of the table and right at the wooden light piece/chandelier. I had to sleep in that same room on the couch in front of the fireplace, and I went around trying to cleanse the place with a spray I had made. It worked for a few hours, but it had come back in the evening anyways (because I had nothing for protection). I reluctantly went to sleep, and had these dreams of a person in there who looked like me, but with those hollowed out eyes and that gaping mouth, and I felt this pain in the back of my neck. I was in the bathroom and saw it in the mirror every time. I kept screaming in the dream and whatnot, and every time I woke up, I would look to that light piece and it was slowly rotating. There was no draft mind you, so nothing but someone moving it would have made it move. I had this dream again and again every time I closed my eyes and it was in different rooms with mirrors every time. I guess I can now say I experienced a watcher hahaha. Was not fun

This makes me think of the basement in my childhood home. It felt like there was someone else with you in the basement. Not a mean or negative presence, more curious. Like they wanted to know why we were in their space. And it was their space. We could use the basement, but it never felt like it was ours.

This was a really interesting video thank you for that! I've worked a bit with house cleansings here in Sweden and although most of the energies I've encountered are dead relatives or confused spirits lingering, sometimes I get in contact with different kind of entities so to speak. I've never heard of the term watchers other then in a horror movie I think with that name, but I can definitely relate to that in terms of what kind of "vibe"I get sometimes in certain houses. I've started to walk the shaman path now and it's very interesting to see how the witchy world and the shaman world are talking about the same thing, only in different words. I can tell you have a lot of knowledge and I will definitely continue following your channel! Thank you 😊 🙏 /Josefin from the noth of Sweden

It's great that younger witches are connecting to the spirit world. There was a problem for a while when witches neglected the spirits, and just focused on spells and ritual. Witches have always served and worked with the spirits. The Watchers, however, are also a name for the Four Grigori (Lords of Karmer, Watchtowers) and the Watchers who were fallen angelic forces who came to earth to teach humankind arts and sciences such a cosmetics, weapons, astrology, magick, herbalism etc. If we use the term Watchers with older witches, they will think of the four Watchtowers. Blessed be

The watchers I had in my old house I lived in were fine for a while until they got closer. It was such a distinct difference from them being across the room verses right next to your bed looking at you. I didn’t get open mouths but large eyes with no lids to blink. Very small mouths in an unsettling frown. Instead of a breathing in like a leech, it felt more like they were trying to pull your soul out with their eyes. Like if you looked at them they would strike with their long arms and large hands and grab you. I always felt like if I looked in their general direction then they would notice that I noticed them. It got so bad that I would cover my entire self with my blanket because I could just FEEL them staring at me.

I appreciate that you made this video so much! I never had anybody to talk to about the spirits/energies that I saw or felt as a child or an adolescent ... not even friends. When I did finally say something, my dad threatened to have me admitted to the mental hospital. I didn't shut down my sensitivity then, that came later. It's been about 30+ years since I have allowed in any energies, aside from my beloved deceased, and I now find myself called to "open up". I'm terrified. I'm terrified and I know that the work must be done. Your account and your experience is largely helpful, so again, thank you for making this video. ❤

Thankyou for this video, my son and I have experienced a watcher entity in my home art studio one evening. It was ridiculously tall and long limbed and it would hover over my artwork and create nightmares which would evoke fear and anger and feed off it. I only realised this when we all seemed to have similar dreams and wake up feeling angry or fearful. Eventually I had enough of the tactics and asked it to leave countless times and it would for sometime but then return again. It's funny you called the watcher Zane, my son had a similar experience with an entity he named Zane too.... It would talk to him and enjoyed fire and chaos and manipulation. It drove me mad for a while before I banished it from our previous home. It's interesting to hear others accounts on these beings.

ohhhh i see what you mean, here in Brazil we usually refer to them as obsessors, idk if it’s the same for you, but for us it’s a really vague term that encompasses from spirits of the dead who are using your energy to very dangerous spirits sent by curse-like magic, the more they’re dangerous, more high ranking they are. these watchers for us would be very low ranking obsessors, and they’re everything you described :)

Thank you Olivia. Ive been seeing “watchers” for decades but never really knew that it was a thing. None ever really bothered me much. After cleansings and protection charms it would quiet. But if I didnt brush the charms up, id get that feeling of being watched again. Luckily I have never had to perform a banishing. But the deeper I get into practice, its clear I need to know how as the trouble makers do occasionally like to play.

That drawing instantly caught my attention, it's them! Everything you said is just spot on with all the experiences I had (I just call them "shadows", I know it's a little reductive). Never thought about banishing spells or something similar, I always let them be even though they can cause some sort of discomfort when they are too close (chills are the first thing to happen, it's like they suck your heat even when it's 100°F outside), that's why I try to politely stay at a safe distance. If they want to watch they can watch... I just try to not watch them do it. If I recall correctly, Don Juan told about something similar to Carlos Castañeda in A Separate Reality, which I think it's the closest to my approach to the matter.

The beacon analogy makes so much sense, I can see how spirits would want to come and see what's going on, what's new.. then get used to it or board once they know and understand.. I wonder what they see and feel when looking at us, maybe we are spirits to them..? Anyway, thank you again for all of your time, content, and beautiful videos, it's one of my main go to's. Interesting and relatable experiences you are describing. I did a course on shamanistic techniques (from a practicioner who slid sideways into shamanism from witchcraft) And as one of the practicum days we went to this ancient landcape, a sparsely forested heath with a dozen or so bronze age burial mounds, some so ancient they are just spots in the landscape, others still clearly hill like. We were sent on our own to explore, visit these places and note what we felt and experienced. The fun thing is, when people came back, they had similar experiences to one another, and these also corresponded with the teachers own experiences and those of students of previous years. One exception was one guy who came from a certain site shivering and feeling drained, urging me to stay out of there. I am always a bit perky in such situations so i just went on anyway. But the interesting thing was: the teacher had previously advised us to bring some offerings. Since the sites were bronze age, she advised us to not bring stuff like tobacco incense or stuff from other continents (her reasoning being that european bronze age people didnt know tobacco, white sage or sandalwood) So she advised stuff like ochre flour or fruits. So i had brought apple cake. I approached each site with a small mental prayer like "hi, my name is Kira and id like to come visit you if thats ok. Here i brought you this gift. it is a cake baked with apple inside" and i would place the cake first, then see if i was wanted. I did so with that place too. I had zero problems. The place was pretty neutral to me. But i did get the feeling what was the problem. That place felt like a place that asked for 'sacrifice' in the broadest sense of the word, a form of 'taking/sucking' energy. And bcs i offered something freely, the place took that. The guy that came from there shivering was the only member of the group that had not brought any offerings. So i guess the spirits assumed hew as the offering and took of him what met their fancy. So even there we had the same experience just a different side of it. Love your videos a lot, and you look stunning! If you ever feel like divulging the magic that does that, let this old crone know please 🤣

We named them vigils. Latin for watcher. The first one we encountered was latched to me. I was the most active in practicing and we. And to understand it as something that monitored a particular persons spiritual activity. Through study and divination it was shown that the vigils we encountered were either neutral, benevolent, or malevolent. I won’t go into depth but this opened up the window to study them and the shadow beings that came with them. Other shadows were what we called bottom feeders seeking energy but they were like the fish that swim under the shark. I was lucky in having a vigil that through intimidating encounters and divination, urged me in the right direction when using magick. Keeping me in the gray and closer to the light. Some of the other vigils I’ve come across that had attached or as we felt were assigned to upcoming promising practitioners, were not always in that persons best interest.

My childhood home was just full of varjoihmiset, literally shadow people, and the forest across the street was full of watchers that I called metsänväki (people of the forest) and fairly strong watchers at that, there were some other spirits there too, I'm sure I've passed the forest's haltia aka the land guardian, and some tonttu, elves, a different kind of guardians of buildings and spaces. As shadow people would just make people feel like there was something different in the air, like someone was in the same space just minding their own business and not even acknowledging you, the watchers would literally make kids run past certain spots in the forest because they had a creepy atmosphere and even along the street in the evenings and at night, in full daylight because midnight sun, people tried to rush up the hill from the lake because they had the feeling of being watched from the woods and some of them would follow you along the edge of the forest until they couldn't see you from the treeline anymore. I think the haltija showed up and got them to back off once when they had made a kid run and the kid had tripped on the asphalt.

I've been going back and forth between if I've seen watchers or shadow people. I had banish one from my apartment not that long ago. It took the form of a little kid roughly from the 20s but his eyes were hollow holes with rings of light in them. (Almost like a ring light in someone's eyes). He was just watching me from behind my couch. The reason for banishing was just on the pure feeling of dread and discomfort that he was giving me. The other one I've seen was a real man in a trench coat with a top hat. Same eyes and both me and my mom would frequently see him in the hallway of my childhood home.

My grandmother couldn't see him and went into the house. I felt as if I was being sucked toward him. When I mustered the strength to move I ran to the front door and banged for all I was worth, still having the feeling of being pulled. When my mother opened the door the "pulling" feeling stopped. I was told I hallucinated...40 years later I still remember every detail.

Oh I definitely remember watchers from my childhood. What an interesting way of looking at this. I often think of magic and spirit work as some sort of language for everyday problems and situations we have to deal with. Watchers have been common in my childhood and now I have a name for it and also a description. As I said, it's all very interesting, especially as nobody really had that understanding of the spirit realm while I was growing up. I'm sure I have encountered watchers in several guest bedrooms. I once heard a story about things similar to watchers, similar in how they feed off of energy. These ones stir up negative energies, draining and causing their victims to spiral. Violent or suicidal tendencies rise until either the entity is removed or the person eventually does something that cannot be taken back. Reminds me a bit of the "advanced watchers" as you called them.

Last night before bed I asked for clarity in the form of a dream. I had a vivid dream where this weird skinny man with no face was following me around. I asked another person in the dream what is was and they said it was a ‘watcher.’ This morning I started researching what that could be and found this video. It’s so relieving to know what the heck this thing is. I’m planning to try your banishing video and see if that gets rid of it.

That pulled things nicely together. A different perspective from mine, but clearly the same phenomena. I think of mine as a wyrm rather than an insect. Like the waterspout entity in The Abyss. She shows considerable shapeshifting prowess though. We've connected pretty well. It all started off a bit like the big bad wolf trying to huff and puff and blow my house down, which to be fair she did succeed in doing, in that I did end up without a house, so I ended up in a tent during Storm Francis, huffing and puffing even more. Eventually once the big bad wolf managed to get in, I showed it a decent British level of hospitality, and we were soon on friendly terms.

Wait, did we grow up in the same house??! Lol I am so appreciative of this video, it really helps almost clarify a mystery of my own experience with an interesting entity I had once in my childhood home. We were always aware of at least one spirit in our home, never meant harm. But the one I saw I know in gut was completely different, just a tall black cloaked figure with a long white face and dark sunken eyes, it’s head nearly touched the ceiling and length stretched to hovering just above the carpet. I bolted out of my room yelling for my parents needless to say not knowing what the hell I just saw, and what’s kinda funny, in retrospect, the look on their face seemed almost shocked like they were just as surprised that I could see them too lol never saw them again though but always wondered who/what they could’ve been. Thank you for your openness on such wonderful topics!

My house is very old, built in the 1880s, and the basement is very rudimentary: stone walls, crumbling and dusty, etc. There’s a sort of enclave, a small outcropping of a room; it’s dark, and the ceiling is low, and ever since I was a kid I knew there was something in there. I’ve never seen anything, but i have an image in my head eerily similar to what you described. It’s pale and lanky, its mouth is open, and it’s crouching, watching. It’s never left that room in all the years I’ve lived here so I’ve never felt the need to do anything about it, but it’s so interesting how similar it is to your experience and other comments I’ve read on here.

Recently, I sat in a hospital visiting room. I was alone but speaking to a gifted friend on the phone. I felt the energy change. It became fuzzy. I listened and felt a presence. Then many many presences. I knew these were souls who had not fully crossed over. I asked my phone friend to help me perform psychopomp work as I am trained to help in that way. Together, she and I helped these souls complete their journey. Immediately, I felt the presence of a matriarch. She hugged me and whispered in a sweet voice that they were the souls who had passed on that floor and that she was the guardian of that space. She noticed me and knew I could/would help. I am grateful to have been guided to notice and to be able to offer assistance. Be well

15:40 my mother used to be a manager at a lakeside restaurant and although I never saw the watchers I definitely have gotten a feeling like you've described many times

I've had experience with "The watchers" as well as a child. It was an often strange to creep existence with them around. Although, I have learned to create barriers to keep at a distance. thank you for discussing this subject.

This is so fascinating!! I’ve never heard of a Watcher before. Would love to hear more about the kinds of spirits you’ve encountered and what you’ve called them!
