I’ve got the original f450 and had to do a ton of upgrades to make it crawl good and still bash a little bit.. Fusion SE 1800 and geared it up a little …lockers front and rear…used some 1/14 scale aluminum semi rims and softer rubber tires with more aggressive tread…it does well now and still turns ok.. CEN really needs to have a 2spd trans and that would help also.

I like to build something like that but with 3500 holmes motor 2speed trans of ebay a locking front axel from something a solid rear axel build some custom ladder bars like in 70s lifed trucks out square box tube need to be longer lowers a winch in front amd back and a quick disconnect sway bar have tube running boards a roll bar with lights and maybe a bigger shock like slash size but light springs for some twist a good old looking trail truck that is just fun to bash around and do some crawling but keep it around the same ride level just maybe longer stroke shocks or a custom setup and maybe find a way to put some aggressive tires on it with just little more side wall maybe 5mm bigger also setup to tower or turn into a flat bed with a custom but full functional wrecker on back like the old trucks a boxed bed with wood a few tubes to build the towing pieces and a winch or 2 on the bed and some flat stock to make mounts with a little welder or brazing it is possible if i only had the fund's and all the equipment i would build something always been great with my hands and custom stuff visions just money put a stop to things my 20s i built so many bikes and cars and i made some bad choices but since covid i got imto rc again and have 30 plus just health isn't doing well and need to get out the crawlers and just try to do some customization to anything keep up great work and have wonderful day.
