There are places that manage to convey a particular charm due not only to their natural and impressive beauty, but also thanks to the history that brought them to light.
The Cenote delle Dolomiti is one of these places, a deep abyss that develops between ice and rock for a depth of almost 300 m which came to light following the natural emptying of a lake at an altitude of 2940 m a.s.l. between Piz Conturines and Cima Lavarella, in the Fanes Sennes and Braises Park (Ampezzo Dolomites).
As part of this project, through the surveys made with laser scanners and drones we have carried out the 3D of the most important parts of this abyss, including the enormous glacial deposit in the deepest parts, with the aim of monitoring and studying evolution over the next few years.
This expedition was realized as part of the "Inside the Glaciers" project (insidetheglaci...) managed by speleologists of the Italian association La Venta Esplorazioni Geografiche (www.laventa.it/), the Italian company Miles Beyond (milesbeyond.it..., thanks to the collaboration with the Universities of Bologna and Innsbruck and with the support of Club Speleologico Proteo, Gruppo Grotte Treviso, Gruppo Speleologico Padovano, Elifriulia, Leica Geosystems
