There is an excellent channel called China Uncensored which has been addressing foul play and human rights abuses by the Chinese Communist Party for several years. Recently, if you search the name of the channel it no longer is suggested. Go ahead and try it right now. Most videos by the channel aren't monetized either since the channel doesn't please the Chinese Communist Party , and Google wants in on the Chinese Market. Did i mention that Google is building a cencored search browser to appease the chinese officials?

Joe Boyko I oppose censorship as well but I said privately owned companies can censor if they aren’t discriminating against one side or the other and being hypocrites. A five star restaurant has the right to set a dress code for what customers can wear and that’s censoring their expression but it’s their free choice to go to their restaurant. Private companies can set their own rules. Just like how private schools have uniforms or private neighborhoods have rules for what kind of houses you can have or the fact that business tell you that you can’t scream racist things or walk in the nude even though both of those things are protected under freedom of expression that applies to public areas and private areas can set their own rules.

Joe Boyko also companies who choose to censor can be held accountable for what is published on their platform because they censor. If they choose not to censor than the individuals can be held accountable for their own actions. Right now big tech wants it both ways and that’s the problem. They want to censor and they don’t want to be held accountable for what’s published on their platform. That’s what I think is wrong. You are either an open platform or a private business and should be treated and held accountable biased on what you choose.
