Fun fact: as a prank, someone put real liquor in the hip flask for the parking scene. Fox's spit take was a genuine reaction. The director liked it so much he left if in the finished film. There are other easter eggs showing changes. For example, the ledge on the clock tower is now damaged where the Doc nearly fell off. Another is that the mall is originally called Twin Pines Mall. When Marty first went back, he smashed one of the two pines running away. When he returns the mall is now called Lone Pine Mall. The ending was a throw away gag. They didn't expect the film to perform that well. When the film became a runaway hit, a sequel was written. Problem is, they had to start with the final scene of the first movie.

The best thing about the trilogy: The screenwriter decreed that as long as he lives, no reboot should destroy these timelessly perfect films.

It's adorable that you think screenwriters own the rights to their movies. Robert and Bob don't own these films. Universal Pictures Amblin Entertainment does. I know Robert and Bob have said that they don't want them rebooted, but legally it's not their decision at all.

@@NiceIce75 Robert and Bob have no legal say. However, one of the owners and the biggest name at Universal Pictures Amblin Entertainment is Steven Spielberg. He produced the films too. Steven's friendship with Robert is likely the only thing keeping the rest of the studio from pursuing alternate revenue streams from BTTF that the screenwriters oppose. Once Steven passes away I think the odds of a remake or something will become much much greater. They are not going to do it without Steven's approval and Steven isn't going to approve something his friend is so adamantly opposed to. Sadly I think a remake is simply a matter of time. Heh... Time... See what I did there? :)

My honest reaction is that yours is the best reaction to this movie that I have seen so far. Back to the Future is my all-time favorite movie, for all the reasons you said in the reaction. It is fun, the acting is on point, the characters are likeable, the story is clever, it's completely re-watchable.... and did I say it was fun? One reason I watch reaction videos is to see how someone else responds to a favorite of mine, and sometimes you get let down. My favorite reactor watched this movie and only had an okay reaction to it, which was disappointing. However, your reaction is exactly the type of reaction I wanted to see; someone who appreciated all the great moments in the film and expressed great excitement in those moments. I had a good time watching this reaction. Thanks! Yes, continue the series. It's all good, but parts 2 and 3 do not measure up to the first one. Still worth it though.

I've never seen a vending machine that vends GLASS bottles. It was probably a refrigerator with a regular swing door. It probably wasn't a vending machine. The bottle opener was probably attached to the side of the refrigerator. Just a guess. I wasn't alive in the 50's.
@unseenentity3269 ай бұрын
@plawes2237 they definitely had vending machines with glass bottles. Then they had tin cans and then aluminum cans. You put in your coins, then opened the door and pulled out the bottle you wanted. You could only pull out one. The mechanism would release the bottle you pull on. If you tried to pull more than one out at the same time, it wouldn't release any bottle.

Loved your reaction to this! It has been fun rewatching for the "first time" with you. This movie was a huge moment in time. It almost did not get made as you see it now. There was another lead actor but they fired him and hired Michael J. Fox. The problem with that was he was on a popular TV show and the producers refused to let him take a break from that. So if you notice, most of the scenes in this movie are at night. That's because Fox worked during the day on the TV show and at night on the movie. It was not until after the TV series ended that when they started talking about doing a sequel. You have to watch part 2 and part 3. They are awesome. Thanks again for reacting to one of the movies I grew up on and consider a favorite and a classic.

Biff totally screwed up of another 1950's saying "Make like a tree and get out of here" is supposed to be "Make like a tree and leaf" [for the word "leave"...lol]. Those who do not know the correct saying often say "What?!" making those of us who do laugh even harder. Also hope you will get into some much older classic movies like Rebel Without a Cause 1955, Casablanca 1942-43, , A Hard Day's Night [ the Beatles 1964], Singing in the Rain 1952, soooo many more. Even the 1930's, I love a couple of those starring the very cute Joan Blondell "Goodbye Again"[1933] and "Union Depot" [1932]. Joan was a much better actress than she was ever given credit for...
