Got me wondering. I wonder if any one of these dudes are the ones that were about to blast me and my homeboys, back in 1981. I'll try to make it short. Back in the day we lived on 104th & Yukon. 1973-74. I went to Monroe for one semester & my brother went to Worthington, I believe. But, this is 7 years later. Anyway, they're throwing this dance at Morningside High, at night. So, me and my homeboys, we get geared up. I'm G'd up. Got my tan khakis creased up. My brown shirt creased up with 2 creases up front & 3 in the back. Brown Romeos, shined up, and my brown brim on. All matching my 1967 Chevy. Stock clean. My first car. My two homeboys are dressed similarly, but with the golf hats. I'm a year or two older, so now I sportin the brims. Trying to make that transition like the O.G. Cutes pointed out. Ok, we're from the Eastside, but back in the day, they had "mucho" ladies on the Westside. So, we're headed to the party to get women. Anyway, the dance was cool. Over at about 10pm. We all got a couple of numbers and we're straight. Now, we're heading back to the car that was parked on 105th off of Yukon. Anyone that knows the area, also knows that there ain't no parking on 104th because there's a gang of apartments on that street, and it's always booked solid. So, we're walking & comparing our stories about our hook-ups. We hit the corner on 105th and we're strolling, and my car is about 8 houses down. We get about 3-4 houses into the block and 3 dudes step out from behind some hedges. They're about 3 houses ahead of us. My car is about 2 houses past them. You can see where this is going. And, when they step onto the sidewalk, one of the dudes has a pistol. Well, back in the day you might have 3-4 guys, 1 gun, 3 bullets. Good enough. So, I was like "oh shit," and my homeboy was saying "lets run." Me being the thinker, I said "no, don't run," "just keep walking." Like the O.G. Turtle said " somebody gotta do the thankin." So, I said "lets just keep walking." If we would have ran, the would have automatically start blasting. Well, we got up to them, and on of them said "what's up?" "Where y'all from"? And, my best convincing & non-threatening voice, I was like "we're from the Eastside and we were just at the party trying hook-up with some girls." And, one of the dudes asked If there were any "crips" in the party. I was like, "no, wasn't no crips in there. Keep in mind that the whole time this dude is holding this pistol to his side. Looked like a 32 or a 38. Well, one of the dudes said, "naw blood they alright." So with that they were like, "alright, y'all be cool." We was like, "alright!". We still had to walk a couple of more houses to get to the car. It seemed like the car was like 10 houses down. Who knows, they could have had a change of heart and start blasting. But we headed to the car and they stepped back behind the hedges. We were outta there. Close call, and I'm still here to talk about it. Got some numbers, but almost didn't make it past 19 years of age😎💯💯💯

Pharoh " Not to bite on your story...but, me and a couple of my high school homies use to go in CPF Hood to parties as well...This is before my gang activity...And yep, dem CPF jammed us up too!!! " Blood, where you lil nigga's from???" SILENCE... I have on a long trench coat, with a "RUDE BOY PATCH" on the back...lol The B-Dogg dude looks at his homies..."These lil nigga's scary!!!"...let us go, did'nt trip on us. Good looking!!! Even later on in my life, when I did start bangin, I noticed that BLOOD'S would be the one's to give major passes...But CRIP'S, hate their Crip enmies more than their Blood one's....And now, like the OOG said, BLOOD'S KILLING BLOODS!!! ENOUGH, IS ENOUGH!!!

Moe'Dread started (Tongan Cuzzins) in the late 70s. Then the Crip came in 1979 / 1980 I believe from Nec (Tonga'Rays, Raymond Ave Crip). Then the Gang came around Lowdown and his generation (TCG). We are the smallest gang in LA County but never turning down a fade and we're mistaken for Samoans. But the First Tongan Gang. Lennox park use to be our park with the Lennox Boys at the time. Century, Grevillea and 102nd down to Prairie and to Yukon and 102nd, 104th and 111th. Though we had others dat lived on other streets in Inglewood and Hawthorne, those were the main streets. Can't forget about Beef Bowl Yoshinoya. TCG is always going 2 be active but the city is cleaning everything up, gentrification! A little Tongan Inglewatts History. As I would say, "Lil hood on the Prairie".

Tongan crips wasn't there but they was there that's a tricky question. Tongans had nothing started at the time so a lot joined Lennox gang & that gang goes way back but left after they turned 13 and they went to war with each other after that the others rolled with Raymonds. After that they decided to create their own gang late 70's or 1980. Im not Tongan or Samoan but i did grow up in these streets and seen things unfold. They didn't really beef to much with IFG mostly with Crenshaw Mafia at that time. Raymonds didn't start Tongan Crips but they had a O.G. from Raymonds who was Tongan that made a peace treaty to unite both gangs which took place in state prison not in the streets but they was always both cool with each other in the streets so it was natural. Tongan Crips out before 1985 you can still see old hitups on concrete floors which has date that goes til 1979 the credits went to Raymonds during those time because this was a new gang at the time unheard of. The fight these guys talk about in Morning Side where big guy says he fought Samoan for 20 minutes he fought a Tongan. Not much Samoan stay over there i never seen one but you might run into few in school but it's rare. I know the guys name who he fought but not gonna say much about that. That Tongan kid won that fight but if yall see where that kid became a good boxer in the ring years later you would understand no way they getting him. End of the day its all love we all grow some day.

Don Miller bro that's normal for us. I always ended up fighting big bros out of school for whoopin they lil bro or homie my age. Sobrante Park in Oakland had to come to Castlemont high school cuz my young cuzns at the time mopped they little brothers. It was a riot with 14 - 17yr olds against men from a whole hood.

Don Miller also we started bouncing at 21 and up clubs in the city at 17yrs old. Fighting comes natural like it's supposed to happen. I used to take my lil brothers to the clubs when they were only 14 and 17 to get they feet wet. Now they're hogs.

Just a random suggest, King. It would be cool that when you get to part 2s and beyond that you post the previous vids in the series links in the description. I just stumbled upon this video... and parts 3 and 4 are in the video list... but not part one so it's not always easy to click on other vids in a series. ✌🏾🖤
