I'm doing a serving without tails. I take a wooden screwdriver, separate the string and thread the tail 2 times, then I do the serving. In the end, I do the same thing. As a result, the serving does not slide along the string, you can forget about it and enjoy life.

Awesome tip!

Is the best way to serve the string is with the string off the bow? I struggle serving my string while string is on the bow due to clearance with cables and cable rod - even if I press the bow and use sticks to get more clearance. I’ve seen a number of demos now when string is off the bow and it’s got me wondering.

What size type string do you use for serving on the cable?

I just wish I could keep my loop from separating my serv. I feel I have tried everything.

Don't crank on it with pliers when you tie a new loop. Tightly wrapped serving helps

John has a video on doing the loop to help with that
