Revisited my dentist and had the veneers shortened some. Looks somewhat better.Next visit she will be contouring the surfaces to create a natural look as she has 'polished' the veneers flat trying to remove gray color. The long veneers wore my lower teeth down leaving flat spots on every tooth they touched. I'm thinking I need to come to Waco? Horror story indeed. Thank you again! You do excellent work.

Dentistry is very technique sensitive. There is a lot to know. Producing excellent dental results is very difficult. Much of high end dentistry is about technical knowledge and systems, i.e., the dentist, his/her staff and the laboratory technician. Each part of the system must be excellent to predictably achieve wonderful results. In my case, my assistants have been with me 22 and 33 years. I have worked with the same laboratory technician for 15 years. No surprises! I know what the outcome of each case will be prior to beginning the case.

my midline is not perpendicular to my pupillary line. It's canted. Making the gingival line canted too. How can I fix it.
@centerforard6 жыл бұрын
Anything can be fixed, depending on how interested a person is in fixing it. Just because the midline is not perpendicular to the pupillary line does not mean it is unattractive and needs to be corrected. Sorry I cannot diagnose and comment without an examination.

Thank you for the response. It's something very noticeable in pictures and videos and it makes my face seem very asymmetrical. I wish I could get examined, but I live in Peru. This video really helped me understand what's the problem so I can communicate it best to the doctor I'll go to. Hopefully he understands. Thank you again.

how does all this effect the bite?
@centerforard3 жыл бұрын
You must always be aware of the occlusion, including eccentric movements. If you lengthen the anterior teeth, the eccentric movements will definitely be effected in extreme eccentric movements, but the increased length of the maxillary anterior teeth should not be detrimental. Most of your patients should be wearing a CRO night guard to protect the teeth and restorations from nighttime bruxism. Very few patients rub their teeth together into extreme eccentric movements while they are awake. Those movements happen almost exclusively while sleeping.
