The scope it comes with isn't bad, I heard other reviewers didn't like the scope, but I can't find anything wrong with it, it's fine. I replaced it because I already had a higher end scope sitting around.

I previously had a PSE Warhammer and noticed that the right limb started to crack near the cam. This happened in Wisconsin last December 29th. Early morning 22°... So I finished the season off with my 2018 PSE Fang XT. I completely tightened up everything on the Wrath 430. I've shot the Ravin and it is set up nicely. But went with Wrath 430 because it can be rope cocked and can use a crank also. I didn't care too much for the arrow quiver bracket. I had a Bohn universal bracket and that worked flawlessly, plus it's metal. Also purchased the xbow case you had shown. Totally worth the price compared to others. It is a great bow for the price. I was looking for 400 FPS under a grand. Being in Alaska we don't have many choices either. I didn't want to order from Amazon and wait. So far the Wraith is awesome. I replaced the scope with red dot and it's a shooter.

I have a Parker Crossbow and absolutely love it, in fact both of my compound bows are also Parker. My buddy Bobby was an authorized dealer. A lot of people have never even heard of Parker because the owner didn’t believe in seeking out celebrity endorsers to be able to keep the price point reasonable. I was really bummed when the owner of Parker passed away and his wife sold out to one of the bigger Archery companies and they killed the brand. Glad you got the issues figured out with your Crosspoint.

Funny you mention Parker, also my favorite company, I even made a video about it. I killed almost all of my bucks with my Parker Tornado. I have a few crossbows, the Parkers are built like tanks, quality second to none, with no issues. After last season, I missed a chip shot at 28 yards when the buck I was after all season jumped the string, after that, I wanted at least one xbow that can smoke a bolt over 400fps, & this Centerpoint does that for $1000 less than other the other brand I like (Mission Crossbows), mostly because it's manufactured in Taiwan. @underdogoutdoors Thank you! I have a question about cable slide installation, if you don't mind. Crossbow manual and video from CP show different ways to install it imo. The guy from the CP video snaps it on the top right side from the cable crossing, but the picture in the manual shows another projection, and it looks like it is on the opposite side. It's confusing. How did you install it? Does the location matter? On my old xbow, it was located at the top right side from cables xing. Thank you in advance!

I just bought the 430 on Amazon for $439. Showed up with a broken finger guard lol.. will call Centerpoint on that otherwise it's $8 on their site. I knew about the loctite and have seen that in a few videos. For the price i paid.. I bought a Hawke XB30 scope and the 60x string set right away. The other two week points of this bow. Otherwise.. I love the design and look.

Great Information to know! Glad you got it shooting good again! I have the Centerpoint Pulse 425 and I had the same issue with the serving coming loose and changed out the string. As for the bolts. I didn't have any issue's but I did go over the bow and added lock-tight. I like the bag an where did you get the decocker? No need to get the bow shooting that fast. If you want a clean pass threw a heavier bolt is the way to go. I also use the Slick Trick 1" 100gr broadheads and group a 3 inch group at 50 yrds but out at that distance there is a good chance of the deer jumping the string. Keep up the Great Video's coming!

I'd love to see a comparison between this and the Killer Instinct Swat XP. (probably should have looked around if it's been done 1st...) But these are the 2 similarly priced and spec'd bows on my radar, I like the stirrup on the Swat better at first glance.

the Swat XP is at around $999.00 which is about $500 more than the Wrath 430X The Wrath 430 doesn't have an adjustable stock like the 430X does, plus it's more expensive.

I have the 2022 Wrath 430X. I have the silent crank, and the pull rope. I have used both, but the rope cocker is faster, and for me, more efficient.

You know it seems to be an alright crossbow I don't like the idea that it's heavy and I shot one of them a month or two ago and the trigger is terrible it's got like a 6 or 8 pound pull like a shotgun across crossbow should have like a 2 to 3 pound Pull they have really good bolt they that they made for it I believe they're made by Black Eagle they shoot really good out of my Barnett crossbow

I love the Thunderhawk, so light & durable, this crossbow has a long way to catch up to the Thunderhawk! The Centerpoint is made in Taiwan, the Thunderhawk was made in Virginia, USA. However, the Centerpoint is faster.

Thanks for the CenterPoint Wrath Bullpup 430 reviews. Finally dialed this xbow with the new Spyder14XL target. 0-50 yards deadly performance. My question is? What broadhead performed best for your set up? I have Rage Extreme and Rage Hypodermic , but also CenterPoint broadheads that came with Wrath package. I use 4 blade 1" Slick Trick fixed broadheads. A trick is, use the exact same bolt to sight it in, I found each bolt shoots a slight bit different no matter how much tuning I do, can drive you nuts, but if you designate a #1 bolt(use the same bolt, for practice & for hunting), it's a tack driver out to 50 yards. My apologies for not responding sooner, I did not get a notification, just reading this now.

Once dialed in ...I decided to give CP's DeadHead 100 grain a try. Totally surprised that I didn't have to adjust anything after 50 yards. 60 yards was still in the ring , but not a bullseye. 2 weeks into our archery deer season as of today. In a perfect scenario I'd take a 50 yard shot , but I never had to drop them that far. My furthest was 37 yards. Thank you for sharing again and good luck with your archery season also.

Yes, once the front riser to rail bolt was tightened, and scope rail allen bolts tightened down, consistency returned and I've had no further issues.

Hopefully the Wrath 430X is as accurate as the 430. I own half a dozen Excalibur's, but the state I moved to, doesn't allow any Xbow with a draw weight over 200lbs. So whan I seen Amazon had the Wlrath 430X package with the Crank, for $424 & Centerpoints mail in $100 rebate I couldn't pass it up. $346 for such a fast accurate xbow with the silent crank included, hells yeah lol.

Very good review. I've had my eye on this crossbow and I have a question for you: You look to be pretty tall. I'm only 5"7, but even with my height I have concern about the compact size of this bow. It seems like all the manufacturers are making smaller bows. So, as a relatively tall guy did you have any trouble with the shooting position you were in due to the bow being smaller? I couldn't tell, but is there any adjustability to the foregrip?

Have heard of others with similar concern over the compact size, mainly with aiming it, eye relief, cheek rest on the stock, and using the rope cocker. I put a different scope on it that eliminates the eye relief issue & look at crossbows as more of a bow, not a gun & it's a close range tool, and you can adapt to shooting it. Definitely don't use the scope I put on, it's an expensive ACOG xbow scope and I only used it because it was already on an older xbow. I'm sure there's many affordable scope upgrade options. I'd even use the scope that comes with it, it's not great, but definitely not that bad either. After tightening down the bolts I mentioned, this is my favorite crossbow now, I don't see anything else on the market in the under $700 range, and this compact. If I was 5'7", I would purchase the bow with the optional cranking device because the rope cocker may require extra arm & shoulder effort. I'm 6'3" and 56 years old, and have no issues aiming, cocking, shooting. So far, it's very durable and reliable. The only issue was those bolts loosening, which was an easy fix with some locktight.

been shooting a pse fang 350 for several years and been wanting to upgrade but everything got so expensive. This seems to fit that higher end performance and more reasonable price. Things I see about this xbow everywhere is that the supplied scope is terrible. Would also be interested in what aftermarket bolts would work. I currently shoot scheels branded lighted nock bolts through my PSE but would they hold up to a more powerful bow?

The supplied scope is definitely ok, absolutely nothing wrong with it. I put it on one of my other crossbows and it works great. I swapped out the scope because I already had a high end ACOG scope laying around. This Wrath 430 has been holding up, after using locktight on the main riser bolt & tightening down the scope rail bolts. I believe the reasonable pricing comes from it being manufactured in Taiwan, the quality is good as I've been shooting it for months now without any issues. I simply use the Centerfire bolts, they are fine, not familiar with the scheels bolts. The issue I had with the bolts, was the supplied quiver, it's extremely tight and you can break a bolt by forcing it into the quiver. Good luck with your choice.

It could be, so far, this xbow is holding up well, it's likely a lighter bolt won't hurt it, but 407fps is fast enough.

Ouch , poor limbs that’s past redline lmao. You want 500~600 grains for bows this powerful if you plan on having it last. The minimum weight recommended by the manufacturer is redline. I go for a 500-550 grain bolt and yes it’s slower, but it’s got insane amounts of punch

I know this is an older video but can the foregrip be taken off this and a vertical grip be installed in its place? I see it has a tiny rail up front but that may be too far forward and awkward to hold

Hello Armando, both the CP 400 & the Wrath 430 are more than adequate for any type of big game, deer, bear, wild pig etc. I prefer the Wrath 430 because of the improved trigger, faster speed, and much better price, it is also much more compact and easier to travel with. If you tighten up the bolts I mentioned with lock tight, and check they haven't loosened up, I believe the Wrath 430 is the better choice. However, I do not own the CP 400, I do understand the CP 400 triggers are not as good, hopefully they improved that recently.

I have no idea why CP INSISTS on using the same crappy trigger design.. I just got a CP400 (I knew the trigger would suck before hand) and while it is better than the one that came stock with my 370... It is NOT trigger that should be on a bow of that price (normal retail). For $400 I can deal with it or get it replaced.. But not at the normal price.

Sounds like they don’t make the bow very well. You had to work on everything on the bow.

The instructions do tell you to double check & tighten all bolts before each use, but who does that, you'r correct, should be built better, with loctite.

I know many people who have a felony (non-violent) and had their hunting privilege restored by writing a letter to the ATF once they were 5 years out past their max sentence date. Food for thought!
