Thank you for so much information about what I’m learning since getting one for Father’s Day. Where or who built the smaller one for you. It’s like bullet proof in my mind. Not sure why the big companies don’t build like he did. Thank you for the info.
@underdogoutdoors9 күн бұрын
Yes, I agree Bill! The smaller one is built by Swatara Creek Outfitters in Anneville Pennsylvania. Built by a guy in his archery shop who was one of the pioneers of using ebikes for hunting.

What kind of relaxation aid is this? Very nice, well explained video, I bought it too. The Man Kung Chester 65 costs 250 euros less here in Germany than its sister model, the Centerpoint Wrath. Since Centerpoint doesn't make crossbows themselves, they just look at the man kung kit and sell them under CENTERPOINT.

How’s it handle shallow water? Does it have some sort of kick back system for running into rocks?

I've hit tons of rocks & rocky bottoms, it's light & kicks back, a little scratched but never damaged. I have a spare prop, but never needed it.

How do I change the back back bunks without removing the boat off the trailer
@underdogoutdoors23 күн бұрын
I would take the boat off before changing bunks, unless possibly jack it up high & put on blocks but safer to remove the boat from the trailer.

I bought a Ryobi and the string feed was great on the first spool but try to replace the spool and all the line comes out and wraps around the shaft…. Total crap ! So bought a replacement head that has replaceable blades but if you hit a rock the pins holding the blades break and you need to but anew head for another $25. Thanks for the heads up on the Toro. They are all shit as far as I’m concerned…. Think I’ll buy some free range goats.

I just bought the 430 on Amazon for $439. Showed up with a broken finger guard lol.. will call Centerpoint on that otherwise it's $8 on their site. I knew about the loctite and have seen that in a few videos. For the price i paid.. I bought a Hawke XB30 scope and the 60x string set right away. The other two week points of this bow. Otherwise.. I love the design and look.

I know this is old but if anyone is watching this actually contemplating mounting a handheld range finder to their crossbow, if you have the $1200 to spare (probably $900- $1000 in the US) don't bother with a seperate range finder. Go with the Burris Oracle scope, you won't be disapointed. I put one on my Ravin 500, off the bipod with high quality bolts, doing nothing but following its calculated crosshair I can stack my bolts at 100 yards all day. It calculates for the weight of your bolt and head, bow speed and elevation, about the only thing it doesn't automatically adjust for is wind. The scope also has great optics, a much better FOV than the stock scope that came on my Ravin, it's 2-7x and comes with a remote you can mount on your grip or, where ever you like it. It's pricey for a crossbow scope for sure, but so much faster and more accurate than using a seperate rangefinder. They make one for traditional compound bows as well :) www.burrisoptics.com/crossbow-scope/oracle-x-crossbow-rangefinding-scope

Sorry, just seeing this now. I found this one at Swatara Creek Outfitters in Anneville Pennsylvania. However, many regular bike shops that sell & service ebikes can put a similar one together for you.

I was planning on getting one these bikes for hunting, I usually go for 3 to 4 miles to the camp area and hunt in for another 1 to 2 miles, the thing is the bike has to handle my weight and the backpack with rifle, about 250lb total I don't know if the small bike can handle it, so I m looking at the 24 inch bikes. What do you think.?
@underdogoutdoors2 ай бұрын
That's about my weight, both these bikes handle it easily, however, if there's steep hills, I'd go with a mid drive, although mid drive is much more expensive. On flat ground, hub drive (the motor is in the back wheel) is much more cost effective. I recently bought a "Lectric 3.0" folding ebike for $1000 which is only a 500 watt hub drive & it is small but so far gets me everywhere surprisingly well. My buddy bought an Ariel Kepler Rider step through model for $1200 & it's a hub drive that is powerful enough for most hills.

I have a very similar issue. I have 10 ft. above my cabinets to the ceiling and I don't want to see any pipe extensions or bulkheads. So, this is my best option as well. Builder only installed a recirculating fan Microhood above a GAS range too. (which does nothing) They got away with another one on us. Also, I want to remove the over the range microhood and replace with a "real" Kitchen exhaust fan like yours. The microhood is always in the way of cooking. But, yes, you should of used rigid pipe. Other than that, great work...

This is one of the most intuitive reviews I’ve seen about e-bikes. I was torn between a dual hub motor bike, or mid-drive. I went with a dual hub motor bike, and it blew my mind with how well it climbs hills. I really love the bike, but I may give a mid drive bike a try next time I’m in the market for one.

@xibowhunter, what did you decide to go with? I purchased a Rambo Savage a couple years back which is 750 Mid-drive, and when I go turkey hunting there's one hill that I go up that absolutely destroys me, I have to pedal my arse off, and the bike has no power. Was looking at a dual hub as well, but read they can overheat going up hills.
@underdogoutdoors2 ай бұрын
@@pjlabrec I can get up most hills with my 750W mid drive, some of them I do have to pedal but still not putting in much effort.

It says the strings should cross on the right side of the bow. You have them crossing on the left side.

True, It felt better that way, also they cross on the left in every picture I saw.
@ClobberingSocks3 ай бұрын
is this something specified in the manual? because the official Centerpoint assembly video instructs you to assemble it with the cable slide on the right side of the strings crossing, making the strings cross on the left once it is fully assembled, just double checked the video to make sure i didnt assemble mine wrong

I would believe the manual is correct, I assembled according to the photo on the box & so far, no issues. I understand the confusion. @@ClobberingSocks

The quiver is tight so that as the crossbow gets broken in and used a lot they don't become loose or rattle. If they fit perfect from the start after a few months or hundred shots the bolts would fall out with a little rough handling or shock. I recently found out Centerpoint and Ravin are one in the same now after a merger. You are getting Ravin engineering and technology for 1/2 or 1/3 the price when you buy a Centerpoint. Also Centerpoint has exploded diagrams of every model on their website and they sell you every single replacement part you want to buy. This is a major selling point to me as being able to maintain and repair my crossbows myself without sending the whole thing back. Not only is shipping expensive for a entire crossbow, but you run the risk of being badly damaged and or being stolen as well. I would rather repair it myself and be able to buy replacement parts. Something many of the other larger more established names in crossbows should take note of and pay attention to. "I just need to buy and replace this one part....I don't need to send the entire thing back and be out of that crossbow for weeks or months waiting on you.">
