'Even Apeldoorn bellen ' means Just call Apeldoorn. Apeldoorn is a town (really close by to me, lol. I worked in Apeldoorn) where the office of the Centraal Beheer insurance company is. Instead of saying the whole name, they just say 'call Apeldoorn' and everybody knows what it means. So when something goes wrong Even Apeldoorn bellen.

@@ysinvangulik1004 They started their slogan after their headquarters moved from Amsterdam to Apeldoorn and to inform their customers of their changed phone number. I once supplied their marketing agency ResultDDB with their IT equipment. That marketing agency had a garage in which a car had crashed into the wall. Next to the car they put up a sign “…Even Apeldoorn Bellen”. In their lobby they had some other items from the commercials, like the giant cucumber. My personal favorite of their commercials is “Rio”.

The Bill Clinton one still cracks me up... I looove that commercial... I actually used to visit the main office of Achmea (Centraal Beheer) often for work. They had all the propps from these commercials on display there. They're so well made!

Yes, the Apeldoorn commercials are hilarious. If we are going down the commercials road, might be fun to see if Melkunie koeien has a compilation 🤔. Or the one from Rolo with the elephant? We do have had some very creative ads over here. To bad lately they seem more irritating than entertaining, but that could be just me... And for sentimental reasons...Loekie de Leeuw, used to be he started and ended the commercial blocks on the public stations. Those were 🧡, wish they would bring him back.
