Why haven't they combined the radiant heating into a single controller?

Will there be a video on the steps of a maintenance on Bosch system? Anything specific to look for or test on the board

Any contractor absolutely must know what his or her break even costs to sell one hour of labor is. This is the basis of what know as being a legitimate business owner. Not pulling prices out of thin air or the SWAG method, scientific wild ass guess.

Will you need a new set of gauges for use with R32? What about the vacuum pumps?
@throttlebottle59063 ай бұрын
there's R-32 ic currently 50% of the blend in R-410a( R-125 is th eother 50%). R-32 is still an "HFC" refrigerant (hydrofluorocarbon), so much of the current/newer service equipment should work with it, if rated for for mildly flammable (A2L) gasses. it's more how you handle any leaks and use safety precautions.

$1 million question for you what percentage of the United States total refrigeration residential is still running R 22? In my area I am estimating approximately 35% yet
@michaelyoung3943 ай бұрын
Probably 45 percent still using R-22 order existing system. R-22 was safe and reliable and maxed out system life compared to these new systems.

This does not look like a leak with 10° sub cooling and low superheat that pressure looks like it’s low airflow on the evaporator.

Virgin R22? They don't have it here in AU no more not imported not made its recycled yet many R22 units still serviceable I think its all a scam really they want you to replace them.
@orreymodo58603 ай бұрын
They don't have it in US either, Mikey got smart and stocked somes pallets before the R-22 Armageddon

It still available to buy online and USA . It's totally up to the contractor if they want to buy it or not has older equipment is phase out and replaced.

So I take it you don't even attempt to find the leak and repair on R-22 systems anymore? That system was 18 years old. Just curious.
@PipeDoctor3 ай бұрын
No. Absolutely not worth the time to perform a leak search unless there is something visible.

99% chance the evaporator is leaking at u-bends and probably the rear of the coil, where many had galvanized shields in contact with the copper. second to that filter-drier outdoors rusted through or compressor the same. by time you do leak search(labor), find the issue(often not repairable,) even if repairable it ends up costing 3/4 of a new system by time you add parts, labor, gasses, unless you do total fly by night hack work. I have seen that done many tims over the years, they just smash in/resell random used refrigerant directly from recovery tank, which is not filtered or anything. not legally allowed, could loose licensing and acrue huge fines. of course nobody will turn them in, since they're getting comfort from it...
