Great up date. Its so helpful for us retiriees who move down here from colder zones. I gardened in zone 5-6 (right on the line) for 30 yrs. Gardening in zone 9b has totally opposite planting times. My first time trying was a total loss. I went to see the county agent and after he stopped laughing told me I had managed to do just the opposite of what I should have done. We had a good laugh. He said everyone who moves down has trouble. I'm slowly learning. You've been so helpful. I am making a notebook to help so each month is knowledge for the next year. 👵👍

Awesome garden update. It's been a great year so far in my garden too. Harvested some giant cabbages last week. Everything is looking good.

@@flgardening813 yes, I was just telling the kids yesterday that it's time to pull them because I'm not into feeding pests and the plants are just too stressed :-(

Hi, any suggestions for heat relief for the garden this summer. I’m in Altamonte Springs and the last couple years I have lost a lot due to heat. I know there are plants that just won’t last in our summer heat. I was going to try shade cloth this summer. Gardens look amazing so I want to reduce the amount of loss. Thanks for the videos.

Hi, Brandon. You can try shade cloth and see but our summers are just so intense. The best thing to do is to plant plants that will live through our conditions. Thinks like black-eyed peas, okra, sweet potato, and Seminole squash are all good options!
