Most people probably came to this video after searching for "linda fairstein" because they saw a depiction of the series of vile undue process/injustices in the infamous Central Park Justice case. It came out on Netflix recently, called When They Saw Us. Cancel culture is acting really fast on Linda... I think it might be correct to reexamine a lot of the cases she prosecuted during her time in the justice system, and personally I don't know or care about her books, but cancelling her fiction might be a bit too far. The men and their families affected by the Central Park case have already gotten a settlement from New York City (and I think they're trying to also get a settlement from the State, I hope they get it), but social media taking it to a personal level with ms fairstein is just toxic. If she did knowingly serve a fiction for the law then lawful due process is what needs to happen (jail or whatever), not this sideways vigilantism that is cancel culture.

I didn't see the documentary and she's saying it's inaccurate. I saw another show (Dateline or W5 or something like that) do their take on it. There was no physical evidence, no DNA match, There was nothing but coerced confessions without a legal guardian, parent or legal counsel present with these boys. That is illegal within itself! The court transcript clearly indicates these young boys were claiming there innocence from day one. These boys had never had sex with a girl, yet Linda Fairstein says they raped a 28 yr old white woman. The semen found on the sock was not a match, there was not any blood on any of the boys clothing, yet the coerced confession says Anton McCray groped her breast. Yet, there was no blood on his clothes. The way Tricia Meili was brutally beaten, there would have been DNA on the boys clothing but there wasn’t! Why?
