CENTRE CONSOLE RATTLE FIX - FL5 CIVIC TYPE R

Another RATTLE/SQUEAKING on the new 2023 FL5 CIVIC TYPE R?
In this video, I show how I have strengthened and fixed the centre console rattle/squeaks on my FL5 CTR.
The 11th Gen Civics do have a centre console that is very flimsy and combined with the slightly harder suspension on the Type R this creates a very annoying rattle/squeaking when traveling.
By using butyl type sound deadening on the console piece and under the dashboard, I was able to isolate and fix a lot of the rattles/squeaks so I hope this helps everyone with the same problem.

I had to do this with my Sport Touring when I took the center console apart to upgrade shifter parts. Definitely worth the time to get rid of those rattles.

Oh man. Thanks so much for doing these videos. The rattles in my Fl5 are driving me nuts. The seatbelt retainer rattle especially. Are all centre consoles this flimsy or is it just Hondas?

New cars in general I believe. The FK8 one was a bit more sturdier from memory.

Just have to be patient with the car. Hondas are usually easy to work with and the replacement clips/parts are accessible and relatively cheap

@@LateNightDateNight usually its the trim behind the infotainment or you add foam tape under the infotainment.
