I don't understand some people... Shitting on a progressive metal band for doing what progressive metal bands do... PROGRESS. EXPERIMENT. "Oh Periphery's changing their style!" For fuck sakes, that's the whole point of the genre is to do something different! Have you not noticed the pattern of each Periphery album sounding different? If you don't like their new styles, go listen to the Periphery album you do enjoy, it's not like it's going anywhere.

Progression is relative. Some see it as regression. That's not what the progressive in progressive metal means anyway. It's all opinions that will change nothing. Commenting on KZbin videos is a futile act, indeed. Looks like I've wasted my time.

this track has seriously grown on me. first time i heard it i was like 'meh, this is pretty average for periphery'. now that i've listened to it about 3 or 4 times I'm hooked. this is my second favourite song so far behind 'the bad thing'. I think juggernaut: omega is going to be periphery's best cd ever

OFFICIAL LYRICS: I've held the knife to my throat for so long Is it everything I want? This life feels far away Is this the time to let go and settle a life below? Or live another fucking day? Suffocating in a world of human filth Yes pull me under Stop treading in a pool of your own blood Accept demise Let it pour Bleed it out Feels as the life drains from within A smile now rips open and paves a way in my sin I feel Beelzebub inside me He's been here all along Clutching every last ounce of sin from these dried up bones Please strike me down Fuck me... I can't repent By my own hands I shall bury my own life Let it pour Bleed it out Feels as the life drains from within A smile now rips open and paves a way in my sin My only love is worlds away Thy father bless her and repay the breath they stole with all my hate I drift away now in my sin Let it pour Bleed it out Feels as the life drains from within A smile now rips open and paves a way in my sin

I don't know why everyone is moaning about the new album(s). The reason why Periphery are so good is that they progress and do it well. Anyway all brilliant albums need a few listens first to be fully appreciated. Keep up the good work boys!!

Love the guitar riffs, they haven't changed too much since the old periphery that I fell in love with. It's those god damn scratchy post-hardcore-esque vocals that I don't like. But I'll get used to it, any periphery is better than no periphery

Wessel van den Broek if they dont like it enough to not listen, they should also not comment like 12 year olds.
@oriondrums210 жыл бұрын
Wessel van den Broek not saying I don't like it, but like sometimes it is funny to listen to bad music to laugh with your friends. Also sometimes people listen to music to just check it out and see if they like it. If they don't like it, they might make a negative comment. does it really matter though? why should anyone give a fuck if someone doesn't like music they like
@Tomozaurus10 жыл бұрын
But how will they feel important then?
@madara205110 жыл бұрын
Woah your closed minded and have a really naive perspective, the comment section is made for the expression of opinions, which means both positive and negative feedback, same goes for the dislike button, its there for a fucking reason and no one should be treated any different from hitting dislike.

I think we have to leave genre terminology when it comes to bands like Periphery. They have always been technically minded whilst being fully competent musicians capable of various styles. They write for themselves, to challenge themselves and to have fun. Have people never been to their concerts? They are just a bunch of guys having a lot of fun on stage and i'm glad they are given the freedom to do what they please.

Although I am really not a fan here, I have to admit that periphery produce fresh and interesting music and they are one of the bands that push forward. I like it in a way but I still feel the brutal vocals sound thin and fake. But, good enjoyable music overall....thats 2 cents from me :)
@SorValadaMan10 жыл бұрын
If you think that the brutal vocals are weak and thin, you should listen to something from Periphery II, like Ragnarok or Have a Blast. Not criticising, it is just a sugestion.
