The thing about P1 is that when they wrote all of the songs, they had a vocalist that wasn't Spencer. This means that when Spencer joined and recorded vocals for the first album, he was singing in a style that wasn't his own, which is why it was missing that feeling of authenticity and emotion (If you've ever heard the recordings of P1 songs with the original vocalist, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about). I loved the vocals on P2, but by the time Juggernaut came around, Spencer really found his sound, and it works unbelievably well with the rest of the band. I can't believe the emotion that the Juggernaut songs stir up in me simply because of the inflection in Spencer's voice.

Juggernaut is a spiritual journey for me. Nothing else captures the the workings of a traumatized, suffering mind like this album does. The changing emotions of darkness and light, the hopelessness, the fleeting moments of happiness and peace, and the motif of becoming free, of being reborn is what I (and I think many of us) go through in a spiritual journey, or psychotherapy. This album is purely, deeply human, and a masterpiece I will never forget.

@guidetoanything6 жыл бұрын
I disagree, just because of the layering. He had a full breath and just let it blast, as he can and should. However he has such a fun range that personally I love more when he explores from his high to low ends throughout a song or album. But I'm glad you enjoy his vocals as much as I do, a lot of the bitter comments focus on the vocals, and personally I think the vocals are as important as any other instrument. Drums, guitar, and vocals all fit together and none is better than the other.

After listening through the entirety of this masterpiece, I have butterflies in my stomach. I waited two years to see Periphery live, finally accomplished that goal on 1/18/15, and now have listened to the album of a band that captured my heart from the beginning. They have changed. They have evolved. But as their sounds progresses, so does my love for this band of geniuses. To the haters, you were never a true fan. To the purists, you were never a true fan. To those like me, let us rise into the heavens with a glorious ballad by Periphery.

Periphery’s music is so visual to me. The ending of this song that closes out the whole story of Juggernaut absolutely sounds like the main character has ascended to a realm beyond, and if this were a show or a movie, it’s as if light has completely enveloped everything, making the screen white for a few seconds, and then credits roll. So good.

My very simplistic interpretation of Juggernaut: A boy is born into a cult, lives his life killing people, doing evil stuff, wondering what it would be like outside.. Eventually discovers he is in fact a demon, kills himself, embraces this blunt reality and accepts it, trancends to the afterlife, and lives out eternity with his true "father", Beelzebub. Spencer said, in his segment with Nolly I believe, that he drew a lot of influence from Rosemary's Baby. As I said, that's a very minimalistic description, I could've obviously gone into greater detail, but some of the lyrics are self explanitory... I know a lot of people are struggling to understand the last two songs, but to me, this makes sense. Also, I could be 100% wrong, take this comment with a grain of salt. I can't wait till the band releases a summary of the story. :)

You know, it's actually kinda funny how much of the lyrics of this song has paralleled with the actual show's plot so far, even though this came out a whole year before even the show's first season did. Actually, the lyrics of the whole ALBUM sound a bit like the show's plot, with the whole MK Ultra experiments and the protagonist discovering the existence of a hellish underworld, and all that.

coming back to these albums just to say without the juggernauts, i wouldnt have had an idea for a game (sadly not in production, it was for school), these albums have inspired me many many times, and i listen to them all through at least once every few months, stranger things just always hits me differently im a person with a lot of regrets, ive made many mistakes with severe consequences, ive never really been the best person, and im not religious, but sometimes i think, what if thats real? what will happen to me? is all i have done meaning nothing even if im a changed man? thats what omega is, the anxiety of death, the fear of hell, and to me, stranger things is acceptance, and the growth from this fear i know this comment kinda doesnt mean shit, but its just a comforting song for me, because i get it, i get what theyre telling me

When I got into this album in 2018 I went through a messy breakup and felt guilty for all the things I did. I took a lot of solace in whatever the message is in this album(redemption). So I think I get what you mean, hope you find peace.

You may have a lot of regrets in your life you feel, God knows I do too, but the fact that you keep moving, and KNOW you've made some wrongs means you also know you can be better. Sometimes you have to listen to that voice in your telling you that you're better than what you've done in your past.

At 3:49 I totally lose it I love the vocal pattern and riffs in this it's almost like juggernaut is still fighting to feel the earthly bounds cause of his love he felt while still on earth and is the final struggle to find his majestic aoura

I had my doubts but Periphery has shut me up. I will never doubt you guys again because this song is godly and I love the way everything came together. The tapping at 2:06 is just perfect and its going to be a goal to try and play this on drums. The grooves are just sick.

By the end of that... I was just speechless. Hearing all the passion that went into this all the way to the end. I really think this band will always be my favorite band.

I really like the growly vocals in this song. It just puts an even deeper feeling in the mix. I fucking love this band.
