The tint looks great! Don't be afraid to take it back for that rear window. That would bug me more than worrying about them being annoyed. But if you can deal with that then no biggie.

Dropping my Ginster Yellow R off for tint today! Excited to say the least. Good vid, helped me compare 35%ish to 20%ish. Leaning towards 20% all around after this. Tint makes it look so much different!

My tint place only had 80, 50, 35, 15, and 5 for their ceramic tint. Ended up going 15% and it looks great. Also had the windshield done 80% and can't really tell its tinted. Just wanted to keep some of the sun off the dash. Still decent visibility at night.

That tint looks so good!! Especially on white. Also have to say that the silver Pretoria wheels look unreal on the white R. Wish I could've got them on mine but the Spielbergs go alright.

The tint has really transformed the car IMO. Also makes the silver prets POP and be more noticeable. Glad I have them over the 19 Pretoria in black. Thanks for watching!

prob the best review on youtube ive seen on this, helps a ton, thank you. i think 25% is such a good balance of not being too dark but my shop only carries 30% or 20% so not sure what to do lol

@@mohamadhassan4940 i feel your dilemma haha. i went with the lower option of 20%. i couldnt be happier, i would not recommend going lower personally but 20% offers the perf blend of privacy and still being able to see out. hope this helps!

that little cluster is dust/contamination. Unfortunately no tint job can ever be perfect. Youll always find something in every job.

Looking good! I'm also in Ottawa and agree after this summer the tint is much needed. My R is black on black and it's been hot as hell to get in. I'll be calling around for tint. But, I'll most probably end up at Getty Automotive. He's done tons of work for me over the years.

I had 5% tint all around including windshield on my old car, didn’t help with the heat whatsoever. I’d park it and come back to it at 6pm in Florida and it was baking inside

Nice. White looks so good on the R. Have you considered doing a piece of vinyl to completely black out there little corner windows? I did that to mine and it looks so much cleaner.

I can't believe they didn't do the quarter windows on the front. My tint place did it, you don't need a special tool. It just takes a bit longer which is why some places don't do it. But any good tint shop should do it.

They did not. I've had two MK7 tinted and neither had the front triangle windows tinted. Its not noticable and doesn't stand out, IMO.

Nice car. I'm in Ottawa too, that shop is close to where I live. My SUV already has dark tint in the back windows so not sure what % would be good to have the windows all look unique? I want to get it tint for the heat reduction. Thinking 35 back and 50 front. I'm driving into Quebec from time to time so don't want to get pull over because of the tint. I guess the tint would make the back windows even darker. Did you ever have problem with your tint and the cops?

If the rears have a factory tint already I’d just do the fronts. Consult with the ship to decide the darkness you want.

Got the xr tint and honestly, I had the 3m color stable tints.ln another car, and the 3m feels like it repels the heat from the sun better for a way cheaper price. Never will I buy expel again!

What the differece between XR and XR black?

XR is more 'black'. I've never seen it in person. As mentioned this XR tint sometimes color shifts a bit when looking inside out. I don't notice it anymore and it seems like totally normal grey/black tint most of the time.

If you block the windshield with a shade also, yes definitely less hot in direct sun with the ceramic tint.

XR plus is extremely expensive film. There is a grade of film between those tints you mentioned.

That's a reasonable price. Full ceramic is going to be anywhere from ~250-500+ CAD depending on the film and shop.
