UPDATE: - Obviously a Scythe is the best weapon here BUT if you're using one then you should have it on CRUSH. - If you're using a Looting Bag for a supply death drop then it will disappear and you'll have to buy/get another one each time. - You must be on a Slayer Task to kill Cerberus. - A small Flame Wall will form at the entrance of Cerb's room once the fight starts. You can cross back over it to be safe but it damages you a few hp. - At 4:43 I show the Twisted Bow setup with a Rada's Blessing 4, it should instead be Dragon Arrows. Blood fury is also better than other amulets for the heals if you can afford it as crystals will pay for itself.

i would dissagree and say fang is bis at cerb, due to its passive effect you always hit and slap

@@timleonard8570 The Fang wasn't in the game when I made this guide or I would have mentioned it. BUT I calc'd it myself right now using "My Gear" from the video and the Fang is less DPS than Arclight, so it's definitely not better than the Scythe. The difference is even more pronounced when you factor in a BGS Spec. Arclight scales off of the rest of your gear, so it's possible with downgraded gear that the Fang might be better than Arclight in certain situations. With all BiS Gear and Max levels the Scythe is going to remain on top. At lower levels or downgraded gear The Fang might be better than other weapons though, it just depends on the specifics of the account in question.

Rather than using a timer for my ghost skips I just count to 3 after the 2nd combo, its a lot less tedious for me atleast. Usually the 2nd hit after the I'll summon my thrall if I'm using them, it should last the remainder of the fight if you're a budget ironman like myself.

For the bitch method where you wait for the 14th attack before bringing him below 400. I dont use a timer or count all the attacks. I just get him down close to 400, walk away and any time I see a magic hit I anticipate it being a combo and switch to ranged. If it is a combo I know that's the 11th attack, and then it's just counting 1, 2 and 3. That 3rd attack after 2nd combo is the 14th attack and that's when I go

Thralls will output more dps than Vengeance is the general consensus I've come across when looking into it (in basically every area, not just Cerb). Veng isn't bad by any means, but imo, the Acreuus Spellbook is just better if you're looking for extra damage with spells instead of taking High Alch. If you're comparing Vengeance to just Death Charge and not Thralls, then I'm not sure which would equate to more damage overall. All I know is that I like speccing more often because it's more fun to me.

Great guide! I can see arclight has better slash bonuses, but cerberus has higher slash defence, how does this balance out to conclude that we should still use stab? thanks

Sorry for the slow reply. When running it through the calc it's telling me that Arclight is about 3% more accurate on Stab than Slash. The 50 lower Stab defense on Cerb makes enough of a difference that Stab will be more accurate. Also the extra invisible strength bonus from using an Aggressive Slash attack style on Arclight isn't enough to add an extra max hit over using Controlled Stab.

At 4:59 in red I mentioned the Ash Sanctifier right before High Alch Runes. If someone was unfamiliar with the item, I like to think that someone that has the levels for Cerb would be able to use a process of elimination to know specifically what item it lines up with in the pictures.

Since Arclight scales off the rest of your gear, it's going to depend on what else you're bringing. I would check a DPS Calc with your setup to be 100% certain. On the Wiki it does list Arclight being above a Fang, my take from that is that as long as you're not bringing "budget" gear, Arclight is *probably* going to be better.

Nice guide however there is something said in the video that I disagree with. You mentioned using a BGS for a spec weapon if you are using a Scythe of Vitur. This is actually incorrect. Dragon Claws are actually better as they provide more kills per hour. This isn't just something that I noticed but it is actually what is recommended by the OSRS Gear Discord and several other reputable sources. Nice video though man... got yourself a new subscriber!

I can see that now being the case. Death Charge was recently implemented when I made the guide, I didn't full realize how good it is with D Claws. Torva gear might push it even further in that direction but I haven't looked into it or anything. Thank you tho, glad to have you :)

Cerb is alot easyier than u would think. Owned it on first try and got it down alrdy. All you really need to know/do is learn to pray against the minions correctly and know that every 10 attacks he does the tri attack. (Idk if its me but the tri attack seems alot easyier to avoid damage from than the ghosts do) edit: Best to use blowpipe when learning, little less to deal with. Also might be best to just tank the ghosts and leave mage on. seems like no matter what i do if i try to do anything but pray mage there i take 120-150 dmg vs 60-70 dmg. you can get kills without ghosts pretty consistantly if you time it out so not a huge deal. also i think something has been updated i dont have a sig and im not taking 30 pray pts from ghosts suicide some supplys in, maybe try using a few saras-anglers for tankin ghosts. If you can get it down more power to ya but i cant hardly tell red and green apart and am colorblind. I have to go off what they are holding. Idk its weird and ive had a few friend tell me they do the same and the ghosts are messed up

Sorry for the slow reply to this. I can't say for sure but I think you need to die without any gear on or in you inventory. With how Death works now I can only assume that since you're dying with a lot of value on you it's putting all of your inventory into your tombstone instead of dropping it straight on the ground. Without gear on, all of your Food should drop straight on the floor without going into your gravestone.
