I did a similar good Samaritan job for my disabled neighbor. I got a few nice things but the bonus was just helping her regain her deceased husbands stuff and a nice shed. Happy New Year!

I guess that's why I like your channel because you are still motivated turning junk into dollar bills. I too feel that guys pain... I have a 20x20 shed full of neglected power tools, lawnmowers and small engines I swore I'd fix and sell to make a ton of money one day. Needless to say the mice have thanked me ever since for giving them thousands of hiding places to chew on while tormenting my cats into a frenzy. ; )

Sadly this guy died in that chair at the end of the video. Its a good wakeup to not let those projects build up and go to the wayside. Eventually they could become someones youtube cleaning video.

Video took a rather disturbing turn at the end. I think I was most impressed that you put some good effort into securing the load. If only the rest of the world put HALF that effort into tying stuff down, the roads would be cleaner and safer. Hope that Kuby works well for you.

I dunno yet but I believe so - she wants it onsite until the cleanup is done. Things are kind of fluid and their plans have been changing. I havent charged them anything for the help hoping to do as much as I can and acquire that tractor in trade.

@@CerebralAilment oh man, you had best be careful that.... Way too many contractors have gotten snaked like this... NO handshake deal...EVER. Your labor rate has to be serious for this extensive of a clean up. That work was $5k plus all day man. The fact it is 100% on video proves what the scope of work was. Be prepared to go get 3 estimates from local contractors who do this work. Show them the video of the property. Written estimates. Don't back down.
@CerebralAilment5 күн бұрын
@@pmiller7886 I agree. This wasn't planned and they seem nice I dont mind helping. If I end up adding a tractor to the arsenal and putting the dump truck into service I could prob start working for myself doing cleanups like this. That would make for some interesting content.
@pmiller78865 күн бұрын
@@CerebralAilment Help is nice of course, it always is. BUT. Contractors get paid darn good money for this work. Make sure you keep the pay rate where it belongs, so if you do go independant, you arent screwing yourself or others that depend on this work to make a living. Nothing for free, you need gas and tires and insurance and groceries just like everyone else, make sure you get them.
