👁👁 CERI: THANKS FOR THE 12” TEMPLATE - am adding diagram to my Binder‼️ Since I am 79 yo & the last of the original family members, I will make a journal of “remembered moments.” It is to honor the most amazing, creative, humble, strong-minded, delicate, forward/advance thinking, fun/funny, constantly kind, female, ever... ❣️my mother❣️ Praying I live long enough to create and leave it to my only son and to his one and only son ... my one and only grand child 💞 🙋♀️Thanks dear dear man 💖 for sharing your time & talent plus teaching ability - I now understand the concept of what a “journal” can BE and what it can DO ❤️ Forever grateful, your loyal fan 🙋♀️ in Arizona🌵 USA 🇺🇸 April 2022

You are the first creator that has explained the advantages and reasons for mass making , that has made sense to me. I am neurodivergent ( or neuro spicy) and the idea of focusing on one thing makes me anxious. But your process doesn’t feel so restrictive. Now to tidy up my creative space and start a few processes that will make creating journals a little faster and more enjoyable. I think you understand the anxiety of perfectionism better than anyone else on KZbin! Thanks for your realism and kindness. I must also say that I appreciate the bold colors you sometimes use- I resorted to making my own backgrounds because I couldn’t find intense colors that make me happy. Love the whole vintage / Victorian look, but too many cabbage roses gives me 1980s flashbacks! Thanks to you and your subscribers for being supportive, curious, friendly, and a safe place to become the creators we are all meant to be. Warm wishes to all from Colorado Springs, Colorado- USA.

Mr. Finkel from the British Museum is collecting all Journals from around the world because it is history. He does have a U-tube channel where he explains why it is important to save these journals. I think this is a wonderful idea because history is not just about war, it should also include how people lived their daily lives. Love your ideas Ceri!!!

You brought back some childhood memories for me too Ceri! We never had a washing machine either and I also used to turn the handle on a mangle for my mum but not so much for clothes, more for sheets and blankets. I've only just found your channel and am impressed! I love the idea of using up some of the "unusable" 12 x 12 papers. I know we've all fallen victim to the 12 x 12 packs that have maybe 3 or 4 designs that we can't live without but then we're left with a LOT of pages that just won't work for us. This is an ingenious idea! I'm primarily a card maker but I've decided that 2023 is the year I'll get back to my favorite art form - mixed media. I love to make journals so your ideas will be so useful. Thank you for the inspiration!

I am new here as well as to making journals. I love the template as well as the direction for what to do with the unwanted 12 by 12 papers. I am watching different artists create at this point with the goal of creating backgrounds, pockets, and other ways of displaying for future generations the plethora of ephemera left to me from past generations. I hope at least one member of each generation shows an interest in the stories and genealogy as well as all the little bits and pictures that can be tucked into handmade books.

What a pleasure hearing you ! It takes me more than 50 years ago, when I went to see my granny for my holidays in Southampton. This video is just crammed with advice, tricks and inspiration. I'm going to have to go back through it several times to get my notes done with the time stamps! Our minds work so much alike. When you started talking about cutting up I thought -- I'd do a template for that. Brilliant idea to place the cut items back on the template to keep track of what it is. I really like that card template for snipping corners. I don't do journaling but all your ideas can apply to what I do. Perfect timing! I just came across some honestly ugly ladybug paper from 30 years ago (never throw anything away cuz you'll just need to buy it again later). Now I know what to do with it. It has a white backing, but a bit of stamp pad pouncing and stenciling will fix that. I just discovered you yesterday and went to the craft room to create several book page tags, pockets, belly bands. You are a genius! Thank you for the inspiration. What a great idea. This is a time saver and also great idea to use up those over flow pages that we don’t LOVE . haha And your pleasant conversation is just icing on the cake . TYFS and TY for the screen shot .

OMG! I love this idea, the template is genius! I get very scatterbrained when crafting so having a guide is really going to help keep me focused. Great idea, great video Ceri! Hello from Boston :)
