I really liked this film, I think it portrayed themes like silence, missed connections, longing and loneliness, particularly the female experience of it, very well. While I understand how some would find it boring, I just think the tempo of Reichardt's films is not for everyone.

I came to love this film especially after a second viewing, actually as if I'd never seen it before..And Lilly Gladstone..What a treasure of a discovery..Her performance is sublime. She exudes that subtle quality of quiet dignity that many younger actresses take decades to grasp; that to be still is enough.

It's not so much about plot as it is an immersion into a specific part of the US and an observation of women's day-to-day experiences. Very atmospheric, slice-of-life, and tranquil. This is a very good film.

I think I liked the story with the ranch-hand girl and kristen stewart the most. It was so cringy when she ***SPOILERS**** drove to stewarts workplace...had to sink in my seat a bit...

The third vignette is definitely the strongest.

Good discussion, but don't forget the LANDSCAPES and built environments in this gem of a film!

This movie threw me off so much. I went into it blind not knowing whawt to expect and I was like, what the heck am I watching? Like nothing happened. But I definitely enjoyed the ride.

When the science program (“How the Universe Works”) is playing on the television, note the actual text of the voiceover narration. Also keep in mind Jean-Paul Sartre’s “No Exit” and Wolfram von Eschenbach’s “Parzival.” At least two dozen rhymes are also to be found.

One of my top ten favourite movies of 2016. Maybe not Reichardt's best movie but certainly top-two in terms of favourites.

Didn't care for Old Joy or Wendy and Lucy. But I love Meek's Cutoff and Night Moves so much - masterpieces. Can't wait to see Certain Women... with a certain woman!

I realized afterward how important it would have been for Derns role as his lawyer to explain why it would have been better for her client to give up. And she ultimately failed him by not expressing that as well as a lawyer should. Things we all go thru on a daily basis. That which is life.

@@revdckmz it is so freaking funny you reminded me about this comment today. I just finished jury duty and it's driving me absolutely crazy how the system works.

Watched this film knowing nothing about it and really enjoyed it. Contemplative and beautiful. But certainly not for everyone

I love watching good movies more than once. So many little fun details. Anyone that doesn't isn't a movie buff. Also after a while people forgot what even happened in it. Such a waste.

What a boring...low energy movie...it drags on and on.. and worst part of it all is all they do is speak in low soft voices... and walk around mumbling their lines... it's nearly impossible to understand what they are saying...

I noticed the vocals were hard to hear aswell. But i turned the volume up and heard all of the vocals. The music just seemed extra loud. Like the music would play and itd be loud then the vocals would play and be barely audible.
