You forgot their cartilaginous tongue. I forget the episode but it's where Neelix tries to get Tuvok to try a fruit juice and Neelix says Chell liked it. Not all Bolians are bald or necessarily blue-skinned. The female cadet, Mitena Haro, in the Star Trek TNG episode "Allegiance", was closer to grey-skinned with an ever slight tinge of blue, and lots of greyish hair. Yes, she was not actually Bolian, but her appearance would have been based on an actual Bolian in order to try to convince Picard that she was a real Bolian. If Earthans, Klingons, and Andorians come in various shades, it stands to reason that Bolians do too. Even Orions have yellow and orange-skinned people, in addition to the majority green-skinned.

Sort of, but mildly. Urine is mildly acidic, semen is usually mildly alkaline, vaginal fluid mildly acidic. But corrosive enough to cause pain, no. Might make your eyes sting, that's about it. Your blood will react with a lot of metals over time, which is a concern when implanting replacement hips and the like. I note that one of the sources I looked at says some cities have changed what they use for lamp posts because dogs peeing on the older ones have actually significantly corroded them over time, which is interesting.

I wonder if the fact that they tend to be portly (by human standards) was a deliberate choice on the part of the show runners?

The only Bolian with hair that we saw turned out to be a shape-shifting imposter, so I’d suggest all Bolians are bald and that one just got it wrong.

I think it's mentioned at some point that Bolians have bone lining on their tongue, which is why their sense of taste is rather limited. Which is why they can eat food that would normaly taste rather gross.

You left out the Bolians natural affinity for aesthetics and design, leading to the tendency for Bolians to be employed as barbers, makeup artists, and designers of all sorts. They have a gift for understanding what other races find physically/visually attractive and appealing and then creating works for those races such as ship designs, clothing, and even hairstyle trends within various cultures which emphasize that culture or groups aesthetic. They're also keen observers of detail and minutiae, lending a level of detail and realism to the prosthetics which are used for observing other cultures while disguised and even surgical augmentations for black ops and/or simple vanity purposes.

Since a blue star emits more UV radiation than the Sun, it would make sense for them to have darker pigmentation but no reason for it to be blue (other than green was already taken by Orions ;).

The food thing just makes sense, if your biology lets your eat more rotten meat then your culture is likely to be ok with rotting meat...I imagine it adds huge amounts of flavors if you don't have psychological or physiological reasons to be revolted.

IRL blue blood is copper based. (horse shoe crabs have blue blood) Copper blood is superior to iron blood as it holds more oxygen. It is however, harder to replace if lost, as copper is a much rarer metal on earth than ion. Making access to coper for blood a limiting factor for growth, healing and population size. Hence why the inferor iron blood animals won out over coper based blood.

This has never made sense to me, how can the billing home world be the ninth planet in the system and still have liquid water, that means that all the planets would have to be supper close to each other, witch would mean that they would just run in to each other. They could have a whole bunch of greenhouse gasses in their atmosphere but then they couldn’t breath m class air Does anyone nor how this could be possible?

In addition to using Earth names for most of the Federation Star ships, now I notice that most of the officers (including captains and admirals) are earthlings. What gives?

Maybe because that's the human centered vision of the future the audience wants to see, and because the headquarters of federation was Earth ? Of course there always seemed to be a token alien for federation president.

Starfleet is just a human navy within the Federation. Most of the ships we follow in Trek are Starfleet ships and most of Starfleet is human. The Federation would also include Vulcan ships that are not part of Starfleet, but I don't think a show set on board a Vulcan ship would be very interesting.
