Certina DS Super PH500M Review: Unique Feature Makes it The Best Diver's Watch !?

I first thought this watch was ugly because of the case, but I couldn't stop thinking about it. I guess i was craving something different, so i bought it. The specs can be intimidating. It's a great watch. It wears smaller than 43mm, maybe a 41mm on my 6.75" wrist. It wears a lot thinner on a 2-piece strap. I have it on an orange rubber strap, and the strap balances out the heavy watch. I dont even feel that im wearing it. It comes with the best nato strap you will ever see. I've had it for over a year, and I'm still enjoying its unique looks.

Turned out mine had an amplitude error so after adjusting it it runs excellent too😅👌

I love divers watches, I have the Tissot 2000 Seastar its a fantastic watch, accuracy is excellent, mine is running 0.7 SPD incredible, im probably going to buy the DS PH1000.

I have the orange one. The only minus is the difficult to get a grip crown.

Yeah can be a bit tricky unless you have a bit of nails to grip with. Orange looks smashing too 👍

My understanding is that in the 50's the push down to unlock bezel was standard on Rolex and Blancpain and others. Bulova for sure put them on their UDT prototypes and today puts them on their production versions. I'm no diver, but my interpretation is that the non locking clicking bezels are essentially big money fidget spinners that prior to dive computers perhaps would have been seen by many divers as insufficient.

Thanks for the insight, I was not aware of BP and Rolex had that back in the days but makes totally sense. And yeah, indeed they are fidget spinners lol. Never thought of them that way tho.

2 other thoughts- A couple other stone age life saving preferences on dive watches include radioactive lume and moisture indicator strips. One could even argue these are more important than locking bezels, but I'd sure enjoy all 3 at once. Also I quite enjoy your style and tastes. Please keep making videos. 😎👍
