A correction: the Farer watch that you show and describe is not the "Resolute II" as you write in the specs. It is indeed the "Resolute", which is part of the "36mm Three Hands" collection and it is indeed of 36mm in diameter and not 39.5mm as you write in the specification. All of the watches shown are from the 36mm line, while some of the discussed ones, like the Discovery Olive, the Discovery II (the purple one) and the Erebus II (the black one) are part of the 39.5mm line. The others shown are the "Resolute Sorbet", the "Discovery Red" and the "Erebus", the blue one, which is not available anymore

Thanks for showcasing stuff for us, plebs! Fun script and delivery, as always! Sea-Gull continues to impress, and on top of tourbillions, they now have a Rattrapante Split Second Chronograph with an In-house movement, and there's nothing out there at this price ($3.6K). Interestingly, they also had the chutzpah to launch this Football Co-branded Swiss Grasshopper Club Zurich Skeleton Watch. ZURICH....LOL!

Out of this lot the seagull is by far my favorite. The dial and color combination with the red and gold is just so stunning in person, and it looks perfectly matched with the included nato strap for max comfort. I originally bought it from china’s flagship store because my grand dad had a seagull and it was such a flex to wear one back in China in the 1970s/80s like wearing a patek today. Now that I have my own collection - a Rolex 1908 / explorer, Breguet classique / tradition, and a Tudor bb 58 gmt, out of all this I wear the seagull most it’s just so comfortable and good to look at, such a black sheep. And the price makes it something I never have to worry about walking around nyc.

me and Doris had a rather pleasant day . the weather isn’t the best , cold southerly , with bits of precipitation every so often , so we didn’t do much of a walk . instead we went visiting and had cups of tea at friends . we got home late and as per , settled down to watch your latest contribution to our english vocabulary internal library . we didn’t meet any new words , which would really have made Doris’ day , but we did meet three wonderful timepieces . and i suspect you only included the first one because of the play on word , the ‘hauteur’ !!! i LUUUUURVED it , so thank you for that one , then Mr Jones’ contribution , which was a reflection on mine and Doris’ day , except for the basking in the sunshine on a pool ring thing …… acksherleee ??? … it was nothing like our day , unless it had included a man with his wife’s dog sipping tea whilst listening to the wind blowing sleet against the window , which it didn’t , so , apart from the relaxing bit , it wasn’t a reflection of our day , nevertheless we loved Mr Jones . then we met your Casio , which got me feeling rather smug as i glanced at my wrist where my eye caught sight of my Paganini (which is spellcheck for Pagani) and this rather fetching nomenclature is how it will heretofore be known , by me !!! we did feel as though our day couldn’t get any better . we were wrong !!! me and Doris gazed at the screen , and , as one , gazed at one another , in wonder !! we were transfixed by the beauty of the AC1 . we’ve turned you off now because we need to go cosplay as Cary Grant . as for your good self , stay at your desk and churn these words into the book of ‘25 , and BAGGSIES to l gooru 🎉

I heard from a diver that he prefers Seiko dive watches because their bezel inserts have minute markers all the way around, which makes them easier to read while diving. Most so-called dive watches from Swiss brands don't have this feature. If I were a true diver, I would prefer the Citizen Aqualand. I'm quite sure that with today's technology, Citizen's engineers could produce a new Aqualand that functions as a dive computer.

While much of watch appreciation is subjective, objectively speaking, there’s a fair number of dogs on this list. I’m not sure if the ones I liked could be called “affordable.” For good looks, hat tip to Anders, Zelos and C. Ward. For the absolute gorgeous, the Seiko Presage is as near perfect as could be asked for. The rest are…I wouldn’t say “forgettable” - which itself is a pity! 🤣 the four good ones did save the day!

I’ll never understand the crowd of people constantly heckling brands to market women’s watches to men, but I have to hand it to you guys. Though ye be few, ye be loud. Every watch video there’s someone complaining that a 40mm watch is too big. 40mm is the standard size of a men’s watch as far as I’m concerned.
@dasc0yne13 күн бұрын
@@tylerbrown4483 You don't understand because you think it is all about the numbers. A diver that is 40-41mm looks great, but the Presage is supposed to be a dress watch which doesn't have much of a bezel, so the dial is going to wear bigger on the wrist. Dress watches are also characteristically smaller and thinner, which is why a lot of them are also manually wound. Regardless, you don't know for sure until you handled the product and, speaking as someone who owns a couple of Presages, they are comically wide and fat for dress watches. A dress watch is supposed to at least slide underneath a shirt cuff. My Presage has to be crammed down my sleeve because it is 13mm thick. Divers and sports watches are a different matter.
