Cerwin Vega was always one of my favorite brands back in the day. I always wanted to run Strokers. They dominated the scene. Glad they are starting to come back strong!

To bad their quality, specially in sound went down the toilet after they moved the production to asia somewhere. Cheap shitty sound, no smooth good bass like they were known for, the rest was just as bad.

@@abccba2344I run the cvpro3k and it’s a fuckin powerhouse!!! It’s great. And puts out great power and sound! And I run 4 of their tweeters! And 4 of their 6x9s and 4 6.5s all on a amp and they SCREAM!!! And the sound is perfection

Why do I see no dynos for cerwin? Honestly I used to love cerwin back in the 90s. This company had a lot of competition winning systems a ridiculous amount in fact, but these day its seems to be trash. I had a couple vega series 12s an they did not even seem to hit any where near as hard as the 90s model. Then I got a pair of 8s to reduce my system an they blew within a month on an amp rated for the rms. I have to 8in urban audio 8s that hit harder tan these. I'm really interested in these amps I just got to know your shop recently from Williston audio KZbin channel. Really love the blue down4sound amp. I'm hoping to see a more powerful version! I recent bought a 2000 skar amp that I'm not happy with at all. So I'm still looking for that raw power I need!

I had cerwin vega 15s for my home system. I took them out of the towers and put my cars 15 inch super pro subs in the towers and the hit harder.i put the vegas in my car and sounded like crap. Moral of the story the vega tower box and crossover will make any sub sound great!

Nice love my cv stuff,Running the cvp65s in my toyota corolla hybrid with cv 1200d and a cv hd122s in my spare trunk well. love the cv in the sealed box,a modest system as toyota recommends 30a max on hybrid acc circuit.Great brand rarely reviewed.Looks identical to my DS18 3k

As long as you know how to wire in series you won't drop the ohm load on the amplifier.

Better to have an amp running at a higher impedance if possible, easier for better sound quality and less current to destroy the output transistors. Amps that can run a 1ohm or less are designed to prevent dummies destroying them, it's an attempt at protecting the brand.

Quick story..At 14 lived in an apartment with brothers and parents...Dad brings home a pair of 12" HED Cerwin Vegas and a pair of 10" HED Cerwin Vegas... On the other side of living room wall lived the Apartment Manager..Mom and Dad go to work on a Saturday..Crank them bad boys up...hear banging from the front door...open it to a Manager ready to kill us....takes us next door to see a rather large bookshelf with encyclopedias laid across her Living room floor along with broken picture frames on the floor..Grounded for a month...An ass whooping from Dad and Mom😳 had to move...😁

At what volts does it dyno the 3k? Both the CV website and their manual fail to provide this information. The manual indicates power range from 10-17v. So what's the answer? Does it do 3k at 10v? 12v? 14v? 16v?

More than likely 14.4volts. pretty much what most car amplifiers are dynoed at voltage wise.

I'm running 1 cerwin vega stroker 12 on a Rockford Fosgate power series 500 watt amp and it slams. Got it in a huge bandpass box and it gets down low like you wouldn't believe.
