Yes. Most people live lives that are dominated by language and conscious thinking. Too much, in my opinion. We definitely benefit from being able to rationalize, but this is only a part of us. We too are animals that are attuned to body language and energy levels of those around us, and so many of our decisions are instinctive or intuitive or habit.

I've successfully trained dogs others say are "untrainable". i bought a dog a lady said should be put down 'cause of his agression. He's hard to train, but hes better than he was. Saved his life, all because of my passion for animals. I wanna go to college for animal behavior, i still have a lot to know. My dream is to be like Cesar, I guess. A little less famous maybe, but I wanna save animals lives. :P

@Donald J I make a contract with a flying ant colony that comes out of my window pane every spring. Don't come into my room, just stay by the window. There is a little tear in my screen that they can fly out of. Takes about a week until they are all gone and very few venture from the window. I am not an animal psychic but just like Ceser says, animals sense your intentions and emotions. You can communicate very well with them as long as you know this is true. Thank you for telling your story. We need to get the message out there!
@KrystalLioness4 жыл бұрын
@Donald J I had 4 different kinds of ants in my old house. The only ones I didn't convince to stay outside were the tiny ones, LOL. They eventually left though. People are waking up. I'm a bit of a conspiracy researcher and years ago people thought I was crazy if I brought it up. Now a lot of these conspiracies are common knowledge. People are becoming more comfortable with the subjects of spirits and ghosts. Unfortunately, believing that animals feel the same way we do has been slow to catch on. I think it's because most people eat meat. Realizing that they are eating something that can perceive, reason, think, and feel is offputting (even horrific.) Still it is a lot better today than in the past.

@reality check Dogs have a brain, mind, soul, they make choices and have behaviors. All that can be observed in different ways and different environments. With and MRI you can see dog's brain, the mind stages and differences you can observe in different dog breeds in their different age stages and different behaviors. Their soul; you cannot see or touch but when you are used to your dogs weight the moment he/she pass away in your arms you will feel the soul is no longer in the body by noticing the difference in its weight. So that prove that dog psychology exists.

Brilliant! I live in Australia on acres. I have an Australian Cattle Dog that will listen to nothing when I feed my horses. He wants to race out and herd then before I put the feed down. As you can imagine he is living on borrowed time wanting to grab their tails. He could sustain a nasty kick. He is fixated on me throwing the ball to him also.. Watching this I am going to introduce the ball at feed time and throw it out into the paddock when I barrow out the food. And see if he fixates on the ball ignoring the horses. I am excited! I hope it works on my first try tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Of course, Irish temper, German stoicism, French romance, American naivety, African boldness, Asia humility, Australian friendliness just to name a few nationality labels. Just like with dogs though we tend to look at breed/nationality first instead of seeing the dog/human first and in the moment. Animal/species/breed, human/family/nationality.
@hamishfullerton73094 жыл бұрын
Yeah good point Pamela, I never thought of it that way. True I have my favourite breeds ie I am more a cattle dog person than poodle or lap dog's , but your right that comparison to races or nationality and infuance of environment and individual personality, could defiantly apply in the dog context and therefore a more nuisanced approach to dogs may be required than you think.

But I would venture that it's less nurture and more nature or at least a split between the two. This really highlights the root of most dog behavior "problems". Every breed had a purpose at one point, usually involving a lot of physical activity. When people began adopting them not as working dogs, but as companions in a mostly laid-back environment, the dogs no longer had a place to direct the energy they were originally bred for. Every dog can adapt to this new way of life with a little bit of guidance. What's important is that they are _shown_ what to do, not _told_ . Dogs only understand behavior, not words. When they learn a word it's because they learned the behavior first. So most people's first reaction to a jumping dog-saying "Down! Down!"-means nothing to the animal other than "This human is as excited as I am!".

I have a blue Heeler puppy approximately four months old. You taught me a few things in this video. Mine like to nip at my hands, but only at home. Car ride she is an angel. She is a fast learner and a very smart dog. The breed is hyper. We had one before, but was an older dog. He was great. I have to get her to that stage.

Thanks for using a ACD cattle dog unless you have one you have no idea how hard it is to direct their attention I had many dogs but a ACD is the hardest/easiest to train. They are so smart you make the rules they figure out how to go around yours, thus is going on 5 yrs with one. They can go to a field and select the cattle or sheep out of hundreds that you want them to corral. They are a one person dog they select that person. They do not warm up to strangers well but if you socialize them a lot when young they are better Young children are always a risk with heard animals watch them they nip “Heelers” are notorious for this.

I love you Cesar! Now I need to implement your techniques on my 2 giant schnoodles and my yorkie. We’re going to be foster parents and I need to learn to keep the dogs calm and not jumping on the kids.

I HEARD THAT LADY IN THE CROWD AND I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING: "How does he do that so easy!" Cesar's next video: How to effectively use a leash. I wouldn't mind finding out how do do what he did at ~ 3:00 .

I cannot see Cesar's reply, but please tell me too! My pit puppy is crazy when people are around, so I would like to try this without choking him?

@@meganoliveira5974 I had to watch a couple of times. Put the loop around the neck loosely and put a half twist in the lower portion. That loop you just formed goes over the muzzle. Very cool and easy way to control a dog. You can also buy leashes that are made to do the same thing.

Cesar, you are a great person! Not sure whether you are only a dog trainer, seems also applicable very much to humans!

It took me a second time to read the title correctly. I was so excited to learn how to get my dog to stop laughing at me. He thinks I’m a joke. 😜 (kidding btw)

Cesar, thank you for all that you do for all animals & humans too! It makes me sad when negative people push the dislike on your videos cause those are jealous haters! But, I keep watching your videos & the sadness goes away with your positive way of life for all living forces! Thanks again!! Hello from Cold windy Chicago, IL!! :)
