Cesar Millan

Күн бұрын

In this episode of Cesar 911, I confront a German Shepherd mix that is ready to attack all the time. He has brutally attacked his owner and anyone that may come in his way. The dog, Rocky, grew up in a quaint area and since moving to the city, his behavior has been amplified and dangerous. Jolene was in the hospital because of Rocky and if things aren't fixed quickly, this could impact their lives completely.

How magic to watch this. Loved it when Rocky sat within reach of Cesar on his first day at the ranch and Cesar said ‘That’s it for today.’ No pushing to reach out and pat him. Just a total respect for time to build more trust. Rocky looked utterly exhausted but almost relieved that things were going to start changing. It is fantastic to watch someone so good at their craft!

This is the first I was able to watch Cesar Millan again after 2 years I think, seeing him in action brought back so many memories of my sweet furbaby whom we raised according to his ways we learn by watching his previous series. My Chichi is gone now, she was 13 years old when she passed away last May due to health complications but she was our sweetest, calmest, most discipline baby ever. I still miss her so much.

I watched Cesar a lot when I got my first dog, and he really helped me understand her needs. She was a Staffy-Lab mix and truly one of the best dogs in the world! I used snap training with her, so she learned what each finger snap and vocalization meant. As someone with autism and a major anxiety disorder, I become paralyzed starting with my vocal cords during anxiety attacks, but I could still move my fingers because they are last that becomes paralyzed, which made this training method really effective for us. She was not only the sweetest dog but also a great protector. However, if another dog was coming for her directly she would get scared and leap into my arms. I remember one time at the park when a couple of dogs came charging at two small children she had just met. Without hesitation, she jumped in between them and fought off the dogs to protect those kids. It was an incredible moment, and she risked so much for them. I’ll always be grateful for her bravery and love!

@@joannarosinska5605no, not recently. The breed was literally created in the early 1800s for dog fighting and baiting. The “nanny” purpose is a recent myth developed to make the breed seem more family friendly, and to stop people from immediately stereotyping and shunning these dogs as vicious biting/killing machines. Can they be family dogs? Sure! And clearly are for many families. But to raise a great dog, people MUST be aware of what their strengths, temperament, and purpose were for so that they don’t set the poor dog up for failure by sticking it in an environment it has no preparation or training for, and lying to people about what pit bulls were originally bred to do well also set incompetent or new dog owners up for failure, which only worsens things for the dog.

She got him when she was a teenager. She and her family didn't understand dogs, and didn't know he needed to be "socialized." So she just treated him like he was a little stuffed toy...until he grew up. If she takes him to a dog park regularly, he will continue to "find his place" among his own, and eventually gain self-confidence, and mellow out. Pack dynamics are important and stabilizing for most dogs' psyche.

I am continually learning from you. It sounds probable that they inadvertently trained him to act fear aggressive by not socializing him. I watch a lot of different dog shows and there’s 2 things I see across the board that can lead to real problems: lack of socialization and lack of adequate exercise/activity. I don't understand why some people seem to think if their dog is aggressive and they can't handle them, that some rescue is going to take them off their hands? Rescues have enough problems trying to find homes for the sweet, loveable dogs. No rescue would take that dog, which is why so many of them are put down rather than the owners taking the steps like this one did to find help for the dog. Thank goodness for people like Cesar and his ability to think like a dog, and get to the root of the problem. It could have ended very badly for everyone involved, including the dog.

@@mtman2 If this dog bites a child, it will mean that the child is to blame. Because you are clearly closing your eyes and not watching the video. The dog is always on a lead and the girl holds it tightly. The dog is not released. Which means that in order for a child to be bitten, he must go close to the dog. And here the problem arises, if a child does this, will it be his fault or his parents who did not raise him or do not look at where their child is at all?

Love Love Love Cesar❣️ I’m good with training but never with my own 🤷🏽‍♀️. Learned alot from Cesar. Used the snap out of it routine; saved a dog!! The owner was in a wheelchair. A stray dog came after hers; her dog reacted aggressively. I tapped him on the nose & shhh. I turned around & the stray bounced. The owner never had an issue again!! Thank You Cesar!! 🥰

Ive followed you for years and picked up on what was up with Rocky. He was protecting her because when he acted up he became aggressive being in a cage and because of her fear of being bitten again . 😢. Then you could see confusion and insecurity in his eyes when you came in to the picture😊 The pack did a great job showing Rocky that being aggressive was not okay and he became calm/surrender while eating food from the guy showing calm. Your pack is awesome and though I miss Daddy I think Junior is amazing. ❤❤❤ You are the dog whisperer Cesar 🙏 ❤❤❤❤

This was just so beautiful to watch, you just rescued a friend for a lifetime and the peace and happiness of the owner. I had a very similar case with a dog of mine, he is no longer with me because I couldn’t handle it, and our relationship became somehow toxic. I wish I would have done better but I made too many mistakes with him, I regret them so much. Although I’m happy because he got the right owner and he is more happy than he was ever with me… Thank you for doing what you do Cesar, you are just an incredible human being, so talented and very wise. Mr. Millan has earned my immense respect. This man has dedicated his life to helping these kind creatures whose behavior always hides the behavior of a person. They react to our actions and emotions. And they don't throw them away and even worse.
