We have 3 rescue dogs and 3 rescue cats. Two dogs who we started with have both passed. Without your help, books, videos, TV shows, interviews...we would not have the relationship or balance in our pack like we do. We still re-watch older shows and love seeing the new ones, then more we watch and listen the more we absorb. You truly are more than a dog whisperer. You have respect, understanding, and connection with so many animals. Please never stop doing what you do and sharing your gift. We would love to meet you, your DPC is a heaven on earth. Animals are wonderful. I have a German shepherd called Valentine and, even though I'm disabled and can't walk far with her, we find ways of having so much fun. At different times, I always vary them, I hide tiny treats around the house and garden then send her on a find it mission and she loves it, she would do it all day long! I have to go with her though, we practice patience and impulse control. Jumping and catching toys, teats whatever but also taking them gently. Like you said it's so important to create that balance but the fun is the best bit! She's my world, I can't put into words how much I love her. I love what you have Cesar, you're a special man and you make the world a better place xxx

I love how every connection to every animal has a similar base of a calm energy. Knowing and understanding that has completely changed my life - how I treat/ think about animals and nature as a whole. It is so simple yet so many people suffer with bad behaviour dogs which is their own problem. Because of you, I started doing massages on my puppy every day after long walks. Helped calm her down after the excitement of exploring & she has developed total trust w/me. After 4 years of massages, I can touch any part of her body w/out a reaction. It’s so important to have that total trust. I can so easily help her when she’s injured, clip her nails, bathe & groom her, give her medicine, etc. She also comes to me whenever she isn’t feeling well, so I always know how she’s doing. Trust really does enforce communication. The massages really helped me build that trust w/her from a young age. I still massage her daily as one of our bonding times. Thanks so much for teaching us such a simple, yet highly effective technique!

The emu walking around Cesar when he was drawing on the ground was being a bit bratty. The sharply curved head and puffing up of the feathers around the neck are usually signals of dominance, and it was probably trying to see if Cesar would react. Sometimes emus will act tough and dominant just to see if they can get you to run away so they can chase you for fun. If they were actually trying to hurt you, they’d slash you open with their claws and stomp you flat. But other than that, they’re sweethearts! 😁

I think people who see Cesar Millan as a dog whisperer are thinking inside the box. This video showed me this man can connect with all animals in the way he connects with dogs, and can connect with nature in that way, too. This ability is far beyond what a dog whisperer can do. This is what a man who is truly gifted in connecting with the world, and all of its beauty and animals, can do.

I've never biked with emus but I was on my way to Alice Springs NT a couple of times and drove alongside herds of wild camels tearing along with big red 'roos bouncing in amongst them. It's an impressive sight, even when you live out that way. Emus can go along at an impressive pace too. Seen that a few times as well. Where I Iive now, I have 'roos come and visit my backyard a lot in the evening, have a nibble on the grass and hop out again, I have three blue tongued lizards currently in torpor in my garage (it's winter here and I live in an area where it's cold enough for them to have to do that) and I've even had an echidna in my yard on occasion. I see wombats quite a bit in my area although not in my backyard. I also get a few venomous snakes, mainly over summer, and lots of native birdlife. I live in an area where there is a lot of wildlife, national parks and world heritage wilderness areas so I stay pretty connected, just the way I like it.

Watching this makes me want to tell another story, this one with a horse. Something I notice about us novices compared to those like you more willing to enter and commingle in the space of an animals mind, is the trust is good but the respect is lop sided. As we make an effort to love according to the relationship, the love creates confrontation and one must be willing to make mistakes; which it was good to hear in another video you made and are willing to make, a sign of a good human to me. When I was a kid, my mom would take me on horseback rides but they were in the guided lines not open spaces. When I learned that a horse is better managed through the flexion and tension of legs I tried to take control in a micromanager's way, because I think bits are cruel. But, come to find out, over working your quads to see how sensitive the horse is at first blush will get your toes nibbled. So, I backed off and let the horse follow the trail and I enjoyed the scenery.

I’m 31 years old I been watching you ever since I was a kid. Your the first person I tell people about to watch your older shows or to watch you on KZbin when they are having dog troubles. My best friend can’t seem to really train her two dogs and me living 2 hours away I can’t really assist her either. She told me someone else told her she needs to watch your shows as well! The dog whisperer shows didn’t just work for dogs but it helped me to raise two very well behaved and lovable cats as well. Two different species but the same general rules applying just using different techniques to match the species you are dealing with. I wish you could come to Milwaukee or even Chicago soon it would make this year the absolute greatest!!!

My Wife is amazed when we go to Animal Services or the Humane Society and she sees the dogs/cats gravitate to me. Yes, there are some dogs that do bark. But, if you truly listen to them then you may hear what they are saying. Eventually, they will calm down and may let you be their friend.
