I was blown away by Cesium for Unreal Engine and really enjoyed exploring the World in 3D. Please let me know if you found this helpful and I will plan to make some more Unreal tutorial in the future !

Exporting tiled sections or some sort of datalink into Twinmotion is an ultimate goal Jonathan. Do you have any insights to how or if this could be done in the near or long future? Big Thanks Chris

@@woodward7705 Yes that would be really amazing an we should add that too the Twinmotion roadmap feature request. I will see if I can find a way sometime.

Getting started with learning Unreal and this seems super complicated, but if I can do things like this or utilize this for game development, it'll definitely be worth it. Thanks for the video!

Hi! Thank you for a video, it is very informative. I have actually used Cesium in my recent archviz project in unreal and I just wish that the city that the project is in was in 3D the same as London. I mean that the landscape of Tbilisi, Georgia is intact but the buildings are all flat. I know that Cesium has only couple of cities only in 3D but is there a way to create this in Unreal? Because I have seen people making it with the cities that do not have this 3D buildings data in for example Google Earth but they made a project in Unreal

Hello Jonathan ! May I request you a video on how to add "realistic context" in Vectorworks ? I m thinking about PointCloud tutorial ? How to export the context in Cesium for exemple ? I am very interrested to add context to build in tone and more local in my architecture study with Vectorwoks ! Thank you for your videos !

Thanks for the walk through. I have a few questions if you don't mind. Do you know if there's anyway to store a part of the map so it can be used offline? Is there anyway of exporting areas as a 3D model so they can be worked on and enhanced i.e. in Blender? Also, have you tried rendering a sequence out? and if so, does it render without showing unloaded tiles? Reason for asking, we're working on a music video where we zoom down from outside of the planet and fly around to different locations, this will be done with a lot of edits, passing through clouds etc, so we'll have different models set up for each shot. It would be good if we could use this to create 3D models of different areas of the world, i.e. the Himalayas, cities etc.. if we could create models, we could enhance things like adding in realistic trees and water and replace specific buildings with more detailed models.

@@jonathanreevescad I wonder what it could be
@alexeyshumikhin51365 ай бұрын
@@townsend50 Probably that's because there is no 3d tile for the region that you are trying to view. 3d tiles is a relatively new project for Google, and they use data from some kind of LIDAR scanners on aircrafts (some scanning equipment, not sure about details) - and they have not yet scanned most territories. And in some places they couldn't get permissions from local authorities to have this scanner fly over - for example, there are no 3d buildings in Russia, only topographic maps and outdated OpenStreetMap data. This might be the reason in your case. If you open some big city, like Miami or Sydney, or, say, Paris in Cesium - you shoud have 3d buildings just fine
