Tongues is still in operation. After I got baptised I did not speak in tongues and I was frustrated but later gave up on it. Then one day while I was praising God in church my tongues began to change and speak in another language, I know that know it is real.

I have heard Justin Peters and I generally agree with him.. however in this instance.. to say that tongues and prophecy have ceased makes no correlation to the reality around the world.. what then of the sincere spirit filled word based speaking in a tongue.. as communication with their Father.. speaking mysteries and the groanings of the spirit? Are they all "babbling nonsensical and learned behaviour"? As one of those people.. I tend not to agree.. 1Corinthians says.. be cautious not to despise the gifts.. also the greatest of all these is love..and if you have tongues.. prophecy etc.. they all fail(cease) if you don't have love.. They will cease literally when perfect comes.. are we perfect or is Christ?..when Christ returns so does perfection..and these gifts will then cease... Until then.. let us not fight over this.. let us come together..those who were healing and people complained to Jesus.. He said to them whoever is not against us is for us.. That said.. I have no issues calling out prosperity gospels.. and true heresy.. However I certainly do not think this is one of them.. actually it is contrary to that 🙏🙏💞

Ma’am. I do appreciate you diving deep but I’d like to clarify a few things. There was never a time in the Bible when someone spoke tongues and it wasn’t understood by them speaking it. The word “unknown” when referring to tongues in 1 Corinthians 14 in the King James Bible is italicized because it’s not completely unknown just unknown to the Church! The audience. That’s why when it says “howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries” spirit is lowercased... to emphasize it being HUMAN spirit not God’s Holy Spirit which is always capital! That which is perfect is actually referring to God’s perfect and complete word! The Bible! It couldn’t be referring to Christ because the Greek word used to refer to it is a neuter form noun. Which means it’s not playing a gender role. Christ is male though. Teleios I believe is the Greek word used in 1 Corinthians 13:10 . The Bible is all the revelation, prophecy, sign, etc. that we need today! It is sufficient! We walk by faith not be sight! Hope this helps! Blessings

I think Justin is wrong also. His argument is based in large part, if you consider his other videos and their content, on the misuse of these gifts or the false claim of possessing them that Word of Faith teachers make, etc. I think it is God's will to heal only that, in agreement with what he stated, that it must be according to God's will for anyone to receive it. You have to want it for the same reason God wants you to have it, not for some reason of your own. And your faith in Him could not be determined on whether you received it. If there was a man who possessed the gift of healing, as Peters suggested, he wouldn't be trying to draw attention to himself for doing it (it would have to be God doing it through him,) but would follow the example of Christ who often told people not to tell anyone. When you get something to ask God, you receive it not because of what you want for yourself but the glory that God will receive. This is difficult for people who have ailments such as Peters does but not impossible.

@@forg1vens1nner58 I agree with you about the revelation of the Bible, but yet it takes a direct communication of the Holy Spirit to interpret the revelations already given through it. Not everything there is to be known about God is known, even if it is all right there in the Scriptures. In fact, God has a new name which has evidently not been revealed or at least not in full. In the book of Revelation we are told that this new name will be written on those who overcome. In the old Testament God gave His name to certain people in different forms. Jehovah-this, Jehovah-that, etc. And although what has been revealed of God according to these names must still be true and eternally inherent of His character, it is still not this new name we have been told about (Rev. 2:17; 3:12; 19:11-16.) Zion also has a new name (Isaiah 62:2) as do the people of God (Isaiah 65:15.)

And I think that's what Paul was saying. Because He does reveal to me what went on. But when your own failed and fallen understanding cannot communicate outside of the realm of satanic influence in his ability to interfere with your knowledge of what it is that you're getting across the gift is tongues is pretty darn handy.

Why does it always happen in far away remote area where we don’t have any real testimony? I also live in a remote area in North Africa, I could go around saying how many healings are happening, but that’s not true. Of course God can and does heal, but it’s not happening like some people want to portrait it.

Me and few mothers prayed for a man who was deaf in Redding and he took out his hearing aid and could hear us whisper. I have met former Muslims who now follow Jesus because Jesus's appeared in their dreams. My close friend while he was in India felt like God told him to put mud in the blind minds eye and wash it with water and he did and the blind was healed his friend and team leader all were there and say it happen. My close friend grew in a conservative church and was very sceptical about healing till he saw them. Ask any M worker in the 1040 window.

My experience in charismatic churches is that many people will be honest and admit on stage to not being healed, or in some instances say they feel about 3% better, therefore what Costi/Justin are saying about being healed (only if God wills it) is the truth that I have witnessed with my own eyes. I have seen miracles, just not often when someone who see's themselves as a specialist healer has perfomed it. I'm not saying I know all the answers, but I'm praying that the truth will set me free, and I know God will get me there.

I am filled with the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues. Not because I am qualified by my own standards of Moral uprightness but because Christ Has redeemed me and made it possible for me to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I do not deny the fact that there ARE FALSE PROPHETS AND TEACHERS WHO HAVE GONE OUT IN THE WORLD AND ARE LEADING PEOPLE ASTRAY, BUYT IT DOESN'T AND SHAOULD'NT IMPLY, That there are no true worshipers who worship in Spirit and Truth. He Does not only com to give us prophesy and tongues, He Does more than that. The most important role of the Holy Spirit to A Christian, I believe is in John 16:13, And as He does this, all that we receive as gifts from The Holy Sprit reflects John 16:13 The Gifts by the Holy Spirit to The Church have not ceased, God has made it possible for healing, prophesy and All the Apostolic gifts are still Available today, if we say that they are not in operative then we deny the fact that the works of God Are eternal.

Men have never been healers and they will never be. God has always been and will always remain our Healer. The Church of Christ is not a movement or a building but all men and women who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior confessed with their mouths and believed in their hearts. Cessationists, continualists, protestants, evangelicals, charismatics etc where are all these factions in the Bible? They are all but man made and will mislead many for Christ isn't divided.

Forg1ven S1nner please do. Because I’ve witnessed otherwise. I grew up in the Assembly of God and although the move of God was pushed out of the church for a while, it’s coming back. I don’t understand how you can look someone in the face who SPEAKS IN TONGUES and say it’s no longer a gift God gives. Have you ever spoken with a Christian from a persecuted country? Because they see all kinds of signs and wonders regularly. Just because there are fakes doesn’t mean that the real thing doesn’t exist. Satan is not a creator. He has a cheap imitation of what God does.

Cessationism is wickedness, I have a brother in Christ who was paralyzed and was healed, and my own mother was healed from asthma by the laying on of hands which she had had her whole life and never had again afterwards, and for the record no I am not a charismatic by any means i just believe the gifts are just as prevalent today. That is not to say that a majority of those professing to have gifts aren't wolves, we must test everything, but denying the power and operation of the Spirit is blasphemous.

God is actually showing me a language in which new names are written. "New wine cannot be put into old wine skins." In this language the foundational principles of the faith become individual characters of the language and so the words formed according to them cannot be spoken by those who don't believe. The very grammar which combines these principles into words demands that whoever is speaking according to them must also believe what's being said. And what is unique about this kingdom of heaven language is that the law of the government written in the language is the same as its grammar. That is to say, the method used to form words is the very same as the actual construct of law, so that when you speak in the language you are pronouncing or declaring the law. This differs from most languages on earth today because the system of rules established to form words in them is not the same as the laws of the governments written through the words that are formed.

Brothers, I have to disagree with the Cessationists view. It doesn't hold up biblically or historically. The gifts most certainly continued after the Apostles. The Early Church Fathers spoke of the Gifts of the Spirit in their day. For example, Justin Martyr (100-165 AD) wrote "The prophetical gifts remain with us, even to the present time. And hence you should understand that [the gifts] formerly among your nation have been transferred to us. Justin Martyr (c. 160, E), 1.240." I agree, but miracles are happening everyday, and by that I mean every time a sinner repents and believes in The Lord Jesus Christ, a dead spirit receives the Holy Spirit and is raised to eternal life. Producing fruit to love God and His word, and will produce fruit of love, patience, righteousness, self control. And will hate sin. But also be graceful towards others because they know who they were before Christ and who He is creating them to be in Him. A new creation as old things are passing away. The true believer can no longer enjoy their sin, because the Holy Spirit convicts them every time, and it’s like a sick feeling that makes you feel nauseous cause you sinned against the one who layer down His life for you and raised from the dead to adopt you in His family and share His glory with you. Oh what a Savior our Lord Jesus Christ. As we continue to debate about these things in our flesh, we need to focus on the substance and the substance is Jesus Christ. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 13 “Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:8-13‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Stop idolizing the gifts, and worship the giver of all things. @@sum_kent08 His interpretation of 1 Corinthians 14:2 is a good one. He believes that verse references a pagan tongue and "God" in that verse is actually a lowercase g god. This is an extreme and dangerous example of reinterpreting a verse, in my opinion. I think when you read a simple verse like this, and remove its most simple and face-value meaning, to fit a certain systematic approach, then maybe you should reassess the system instead of trying to change the meaning of the verse.

Yes we underestimate the holiness of God, that’s what we should be in awe of and his amazing love for sinful men and women in providing a Saviour to redeem us and while it’s ok to pray for healing His grace is sufficient. Thank you Justin and Costii.

I am sad for you to think that the holy spirit is just there to make people speak strange languages. If it is the case, then boudddist have that holy spirit. But they do not. The holy spirit is what binds you to God. So, you cannot say they need the holy spirit, as if they don't have it. If they don't have it, then, they are not Christians. But they are. So, please stop limiting the holy spirit to the signs that apostles were showing in the bible
