Thanks for the video, I really got in trouble when I could not open the bolt by overcoming that heavy spring in order to fit back into the receiver. Thanks again hardly anyone showed this in their bolt disassembly.

Very possibly the best instructional video I have watched on You Tube. May have something to do with the mystery that surrounds German engineered guns but I am sure it was your presentation.

Thanks for explaining this. I figured out how to take a lot of it apart by just tugging and pulling at different angles until things came apart, but this really helped me get even deeper into the cleaning!

@ChromeFreak123 I think you are having an extractor issue and it could be the extractor itself or the spring. I would also check your flutes in the barrel to make sure they are not full of junk. That is designed so that you can take the extractor off and the casing will come out of the barrel but not eject properly. The flutes aid in extraction. Mine shoots empty brass about 30 feet from where I am shooting, I am not kidding you. If you need more info, let me know but I am thinking extractor.

@dustyatticx I am not a professional and I have never claimed to be.I was showing where to measure. How can I do that with the bolt and carrier in the rifle. The proper way would be from the mag well, however since you seem to be the professional, why don't you have a video up on it ? I also did not force anything in anywhere, you call that force ? lol. The bolt can handle a explosion but no feel gauge pushed in really? lol. When the explosion happens, it forces them apart. Thanks : )

Hey Thank You for your response. Its about the bolt not closing all the time. The bolt gap indicator is about .14,.15. I can push the bolt closed and hear the rollers lock? Its about 1/8 inch or less thats not closing. I think the bolt has beeen ground and the whole thing is a little short? Or the locking pin is worn? Thank You for your time. "Safety First"

If you haven't done this now can you also show us how the heck you clean the chamber face? lol. I have noticed ALOT of crud builds up there but its really hard to wiggle fingers in there, and I dont really wanna blast the face with brake cleaner and worry about lubrication to prevent rust.. But if thats how it has to be suppose I can always use dry lubricant

@TheFirearmsChannel I was told they gave us 15 minutes and this was a good video to try it on. I don't want to make long videos a habit but, with instructional videos you need that extra time to get it right. I will only go that long on the instructional vids.It was great not having that 10 minute pressure. Thank you Mike, I always look forward to your input.

@dustyatticx Ok, at about the 1:20 mark to about 1:50, I explain how it will be in the rifle. Then again at about the 7:00 to &:30 mark I explain it again. I can see what you are saying at the end by looking like it is being measured but 2 times before that, I say how the rollers are locked out in the trunion. If it will make you happy, I will insert a speech bubble at the end once again explaining it should be in the rifle. Thanks.

On my new cetme i was able to fit hk mag without mods,but it had to be rammed in(never heard click like cetme mag) and it was harder to remove..so i dremeled like you did..and it snapped in much easier with slight click sound... the problem i have is feeding ammo with HK...my cetme mag that came with the gun works flawlessly... With HK mag the bolt will grab 1st round and eject manually like you demonstrated,but will not grab another round...Do i need to dremel at front of feed lips? thanks

@ChromeFreak123 One question for you...you said it could be several things that is causing the problem...Here's what i think if the ammo is good and the action is smooth and even the brass is looking good after its fired i have'nt a clue why its not cycling ( it cycled fine manually)..can you tell me what u think it could be?Knowing century they may fix the problem and never tell me or my gun dealer what the problem was..yhanks

@04GLImattsahn Ok, I talked to my buddy who is great with the CETME's. HJe says you are probably needing new rollers, which is kinda what I thought to. I would try and get some online like at Numrich gun parts. The cotter pin, you can take out and bring up to Home Depot and get a new one, bring it with you to match it up. I hope this helps and let me know how it goes. Thanks . : )
@04GLImattsahn
@04GLImattsahn 13 жыл бұрын
@ChromeFreak123 In taking my rifle apart I found that the cotter pin in the extractor is broken but I was able to remove all the parts. I also found that my gap is FAR less than .003. I couldn't even get a .00125 into there. What should I do about that? I've fired the rifle before and the only thing I thought was odd about it was that it tossed the brass about 30 feet away.
@ChromeFreak123
@ChromeFreak123 12 жыл бұрын
I was doing that so you could see where to gap but yes, it must be in the rifle. Thanks. I appreciate you watching. : )
@ChromeFreak123
@ChromeFreak123 13 жыл бұрын
@04GLImattsahn If its as tight as you said, i would go for broke, you can always keep them for spares and eventually if you shoot enough, you will need them, so, why not. lol. I will say that is my opinion and you should probably ask a pro. Thanks for the great conversation on this, this is the reason I love youtube. : )
@ChromeFreak123
@ChromeFreak123 12 жыл бұрын
I need to know what you mean by not closing, do you mean the bolt not going all the way home or the gap in bolt and carrier? Apex, Numrich J&G is probably the best place to find parts for the CETME. Get back with me and if we need to, I will give you my #.

@04GLImattsahn I will get back to you on it being to tight, I have never encountered that only to loose. lol. I will ask someone I know will be able to answer that 100%, I could probably give you the right answer but I am only about 99.9% sure and with firearms, that is not good enough. As far as the brass being thrown 30 ft., that is completely normal for this rifle. It has a fluted barrel to aid in extraction and ejection and mine throws it that far also.lol. Thanks bro I will get back to you.

NOTICE: YOU DO NOT CHECK THE GAP WITH THE RIFLE DISASSEMBLED. The gap check is a measurement of how the bolt relates to the barrel and trunnion. It can not be checked without being in a rifle! For example, you can get a far different gap measurement with your bolt and carrier in another rifle. There should be zero gap when it's out of the rifle. You don't forcefully wedge a feeler gauge in there like that, it should be a gentle fit. (BTW, that part is called a "Locking Piece")
