CFI recognizes Brain Injury Awareness Month

About 5 million people suffer a brain injury each year.
CFI’s art-therapy focused tracs are one of many activities the clients in Brain Health program area are engaged in daily.
Purposeful engagement in art-focused activities can have therapeutic benefits for clients with a traumatic brain injury. Those include improved self awareness, interpersonal communication, self-regulation, coping skills, self-esteem and overall joy.
Some of our activities include:
Culinary Arts
Music appreciation and Dance
Scrapbooking
Clients attending the brain health day program at CFI have found that these activities improve their mood, problem-solving skills, attention and coordination.
By improving in these areas through CFI’s enriching and therapeutic activities, clients are successful in reaching their goals.
