As an NFL fan from New York, one thing I will always like better about the CFL than the NFL is that you can't possibly end the game with literally 2 minutes left. That's one thing about the NFL I wish would go away.

Number 85's block on the tie field goal run setup in the 3rd really made that play. Fantastic and unsung.

Great game by the Bombers. Ford looked a little rusty, but I'm sure he will be back in full force the next game. The one thing I didn't like was the way Lewis taunted the Bombers' defense when he made that beautiful catch and short run for the touchdown. When players do that, they often end up regretting it. I'm glad to say that doesn't happen very often in the CFL, but way too often in the NFL. There is no need for that kind of behavior in any sport. Great highlights of all CFL games in week 16. This is going to be an interesting postseason... A Winnipeg team that seemed to be a non-start is now on top, a BC team that has gone on the even despite their all-star roster, an Edmonton team that seemed to be written off before the season even began is now killing it, and a Roughrider team that started off strong but then languished for weeks before crawling their way back up. This season is NOT spoken for just yet

If Edmonton wins the next game, the tie breaker will be determined by point difference over the two games. So Edmonton would have to win by two touchdowns to have the tie breaker

How revealing! After winning five times in six games, the uptick in attendance for their last game(32,000) has mostly disappeared, dropping to 22,000, barely above the Elks' typical crowds of the past three years. Sweet! Can't wait for the crowd sizes for the last two games to drop below 20,000, which will make for a fun off-season of the board members trying to ignore the Elk in the room. According to a local reporter, the teams' money reserves were getting dangerously low early this season. One good 2024 crowd in seven games isn't going to change that. Maybe the owners will blame COVID for the shrinking attendance, or a competitive entertainment market. Grab your popcorn people!

Put the right people in the right places and even a failing franchise like the Bombers can go from the basement to the penthouse in 10 years' time. It's not an accident that the Bombers get multiple sellouts a season. They're a publicly ran franchise that is the toast of the CFL because they put Wade Miller as president and Mike O'Shea as HC and instilled a culture of winning the right way. Take notes, Elks, you can do it too

@@berryscott3590 I think the point he is making is that the team has no moral right to claim the proud history of a team whose name they deemed a problem/embarrassment. As in, you can't have it both ways. Either the memories are proud or they are not. The owners can't abandon the Eskimo name in defiance of their loyal fans' wishes, then conveniently milk that Eskimo history to claim the support of many of those same fans. A very solid argument.

As long as they stick with that coaching staff the bottom is where they belong, they had a dam good coach building a good team, a winner with defences, but they put their finger on the panic button, 2l/2 - 3 years to build a contender , they just couldn’t be patent . You watch Hamilton they will have a very good defence, with a little patience.

The CRL needs some major rule changes ASAP. It’s an inferior product that’s outdated and boring 😅 Collage football is now a better product than the CFL. With Spring leagues in the USA now, and the CFL unable to move into the US tv market after decades 😮 its inky a matter of time before there is a summer league in the USA and they won’t have any players up north.
