Your logic is undeniable. People are fed up with the crazy prices of many motorcycles today, yet still want to have fun. The MT450 is all the power you need in the real world whether on or off road. That it’s comfortable, has fully adjustable suspension and tubeless tyres, along with that wonderful 450 twin engine is fantastic. It’s probably the biggest bargain in biking today and I believe will sell by the millions - literally.

the 450MT is absolutely great, we are loving ours (we have two!). The bike is more than fast enough, it easily cruises at 100km/h on highways, and it has more than enough torque for offroad. The light is VERY good so you won't need more lights on it, it sounds great, good tyres, and it's cheap! Comes with lots of upgrades by default, and any extras will be cheap as well. The quality is surprisingly good, and despite the 194kg, it feels MUCH lighter than the Africa Twin (our previous bikes).

i bought a 450mt 5 days ago, i have done around 300km on it and here is what i have to say so far Pros - the torque, this engine is full of torgue in almost the whole rpm range (im still braking it in, sto i have only gone up to 6k rpms) - sitting position is as comfortable as it gets - the weight, although not an enduro, still pretty light to move around and lift the tail to manuver - the technology on it is the right amount imo, not too much but definatelly not lacking. -the chassis feels very sturdy and can take corners on road like a dream (haven't tried it off road yet) - fully adjustable suspensions (also KYB suspensions) -fuel consumption is very good, you can cruise at 110km/h with a stated consuption of 2.7-3.2 litres per 100km -stock tyres feel ok on road, so no major need to change them immediately (maybe this is needed for more of an off road use) - front brake GRABS HARD, but in a good way, havent felt any danger from my brakes in mountain twisty roads yet - the lights are exceptionally good, high beams pretty makes turns the night to a day Cons - the stock wind shield is laughably small and needs to be changed if you are going to do long travels with it (although the small wind screen is probably a lot better for off road) -rear brake abs seems to be too sensitive? not a major problem since you can turn it off but it is what it is -the pillion handle bars protrude a bit when the bike is on its side stand, so me being the einstein i am, i hit my leg quite often at them when i mount the bike - the clutch felt very light the day i got it but later figured out it wasnt tightened propetly (this is more on my dealer and not the bike) -front sprecket probably needs to be changed froma 14 to a 15 and it will probably solve most of the gearing issues - its a 450, its makes 40~hp at the wheel, its ok, it would be better if it had more XD Overall, i really like it so far, i was keeping my hopes down before i got it but up until now it over delivers

great honest review; thank you; as an older rider and ex-racer i feel my enduro weapons are getting a bit too much as my pace slows down; they are not comfortable and they are hard to just cruise on; they demand 100% focus and attention at all times; you have me thinking about this bike as i had never really considered it as replacement for my racing steeds; your comments about build quality have impressed me; made in China (poor quality) is why i haven't really considered CF Moto until watching this video.

@@leighhill9185 at under 10K on road here in Australia, no doubt it is great value for money even if it does need a rebuild after 12 months; let's face it, a 15K Enduro bike from the 'name' manufacturers often need a rebuild after 12 months of riding it like it was meant to be ridden; some of these models are a non-stop problem off the show-room floor and need many upgrades just to do what it says on the box; then there is the fact that most of the 'name' brands are built with Chinese made components these days...i believe some of KTM's line-up are actually built in China...no doubt other brands are too; i gave this bike some serious thought last night and i think i have my mind set...just need to go and do a 'fit and feel' test first. i'm of the 'bigger' variety so ergo's and suspension are always a challenge and the fact this bike has KYB at both ends has already ticked a major box; Heavier springs and maybe valve tweaking should be an easy mission.

After decades of the mainline motorcycle cartel refusing to make the ADV bike so many of us want, to protect the sales of their heavy mid and full size ADV bikes, I'm glad to see others making ADV bikes that are light enough to function well off road but with enough power to cruise on highways without being at maximum RPM. 450 cc seems like the sweet spot. I'd prefer a single cylinder and even lighter weight, something more like an ADV version of the Kove 500 Rally.

Very happy to see a new video. The CFMoto 450 is very interesting so I understand perfectly why you have bought it. With 44 ch and a very elastic twin 270° and the announced weight is 175 kg dry. I've seen that some get around 160-165 kg with a little work. So the about the ratio power/weight of many old 600 and more monos. A 270° twin is a plus compared to a mono for road riding. The ratio price/equipment (suspensions, tubeless oh yeah, size of wheels etc...)/general quality is outstanding, at 6500€ it's a bargain. 17.5l of gas give you more that 300km fast offroad, and far more if you go slow and quiet. We see that the Chinese engineers have used a lot of brain juice on this bike on the details to get a good compromise for a dual sports bike. For me the revealing detail is that they preferred to get less power in exchange of a very nice torque curb. Yes a very elastic and sweet engine is more efficient offroad. I feel that the 450 MT will be the reference in cheap light able adventure bike. I'll follow impatiently the next videos.

Thanks for watching my stuff :P A note: As you can probably understand from my video, I didnt chose the 450MT because i thought it was A GREAT motorcycle, but because it was, by far, the most interesting motorcycle for a low amount of money. I will need to test it a lot more before I draw final conclusion, but right now I am not necessarily recommending it to anyone because its not super good for off-road and also not super good for on-road. Its a beautiful "Meh!" and that interests me at this stage of my life xD

@@OFFroadOFFcourse I understand that, but I'm more of a traveler than an enduro/MX rider. I ride mostly unpaved roads, and right now, my trusty Himalayan is doing an excellent job. I bought the Himalayan after not riding for 32 years, and after 3 years, I feel ready for a bit more power. However, I'm not considering anything above 500cc as I don't ride on highways and prefer small roads. In 2023, I traveled from Croatia to Morocco without using highways. That's why I think the baby Tenere (CF Moto) would be a good choice for me. I've always wished Yamaha would make a 400-500cc Tenere.

Last week my friend and I picked up two Mt450s here in Poland. I put about 500 km of some local riding around here. Like the bike a lot for all the reasons you mentioned. The one "disappointment" is the short gearing, we want to use it for ADV rides, so that means some highways (the Honda Rally 300 once "fixed"/modified, especially suspension was the first choice prior to the MT coming out, I have one in Indonesia, love it up to 90 km/h). At 125 km/h I am looking at 7000 plus RPM. Front 15T sprocket on order. The exhaust is almost too loud, possibly I am too old. Build quality.........yes it looks good. I got unlucky, my clutch lever was installed without the pivot bushing pressed into the lever casting. I removed the paper thin skid plate for first quick oil change, the lower frame rails sprung out by few cm. To get the plate back on I had to use a strap to bring the frame back closer together. Rear axle nut had 270 deg very thin metal sliver from the factory. I have the little CFMOTO Papio 125 in Indonesia, most bolts are super tight, one internal fearing bolt was stripped out in the frame, the factory installed longer bolt with a nut on it..........Last observation, the off idle is snatchy, on/off. It's all this Euro whatever number it is now. I adjusted the throttle cable (was very loose from the factory), that improved the situation somewhat. A nice ecu tune will fix the rest.

@pawelwolski13163 ай бұрын
@mnap89 Krakow, but I moved out of Poland 40 years ago. As I said I have the Rally 300. You have to spend $2500 to fix the suspension, exhaust, modify the intake snorkel and a good tune. At that stage u have 155kg/110 kmh (for high ways) dual purpose bike. I love it in Indonesia, here after the mt07 I think you would be disappointed. You really have to ask yourself what will you really do with the bike. For me for Poland, Europe most riding is done on pavement. The "dirt" riding is gravel roads, some dirt in Romania.......This is why I went with the MT450. It's almost fully equipped to go adv riding. It has really nice suspension, good power, it's comfortable, looks and sounds really good. The quality is not 100% Japanese, but it's close. The short 6th gear...........15T sprocket will help here, I will do as little highway riding as possible at what looks like somewhat relaxed 110-120 kmh. For this style of adv riding, the 195 kg in most situations is ok or actually a benefit. Sure it would have been awesome if it was 170kgs. Honda refuses to build Rally 450, so it's MT450 for me. The 27.7k pln out the door helps as well.

@MichaelShaw2063 ай бұрын
I had a Tuareg - good bike but I didn't bond with it because I was looking for one bike to do everything and it was too heavy for me to confidently go offroad by myself. Tried to find the unicorn and bought a Kove 405 Rally. Later, I found a great deal on a Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE, which I adore, but will never take off-road due to its weight (it's gorgeous tho). Now, I am going to sell the Kove and I'm thinking about a CRF300L as my trail bike, which essentially puts me where you are now. If I were going for one bike I would be very tempted by the CFMoto. The Kove was a bit loud and spartan for the road, but too fast and bulky for poking about the single trails. The CFMoto seems like a better compromise if you plan on using tarmac to get to the trails. That would be rough on the Kove.

Cause i have a thing for twin cylinders :( And i really wanted chance...the hima 450 seems "too similar" to my xt660r...i wanted something different but inside the same segment. Now that i know the 450mt a bit better, i have to admit that that thing is not slow and relaxed at all xD

Excuses. I don’t ride much road, but it’s better for road. LOL. It’s a good bike, and you like it. Perfect.
@OFFroadOFFcourse3 ай бұрын
What do you mean, excuses? :P As a "dual-sport rider" i still do a lot of road... its simply not the focus of my interest. So I dont really care if the bike has "Meh" power, as long as its smooth at 120km/h. If I was a road rider I would want to have a lot of fun on-road and probably 44hp wouldn't feel enough. Thats what I mean :)

could you compare it with the AJP PR7? I'm looking for that review. Thanks!
@OFFroadOFFcourse2 ай бұрын
The PR7 is a high performance dual-sport, the 450mt is an "Ok" performance adv bike. You cant really compare them i think :/ I will try to make a video explaining these things (and also compare it with the crf300L)

Please do some economy runs, this sounds like a potential great mix of sufficient power and economy king. 150km/h is ample for most of us.

But forget about the 150kmh...thats well inside the red line :o 120kmh is sort of the top cruise speed

Question for the guys that know this bike already, I'm 1.80m tall and I have a KTM 390 adventure, but I don't feel comfortable on the bike, I like the bike and I did everything I could to make it more comfortable for me but still not good, and I don't want to spend so much money on a bigger bike. So, my question for you guys, does it worth to change my KTM 390 on this 450? I mean, it's an exciting bike, the geometry is different and it's a bit bigger, in terms of engine it's not big difference of course, I could try the bike first but the dealership doesn't have a demo bike in my country, so I need to wait until October, time enough to get more answers and opinions about this change. Thank you in advance!

Eu ando a conduzir a CRF1100L do meu pai.

What are your thoughts on the new Himalayan 450. Is it something you would consider?
@OFFroadOFFcourse3 ай бұрын
Hey! Definitely something to consider!... I didnt try it yet unfortunately :/ Personally, i didnt consider the 450 for myself cause I wanted a break from the "190kg single cilinders".... I will probably only consider a single again if its below ~170kg wet

I would like to know the reviews and opinions of people who rode both: T7 and 450mt What do you prefer most?
@OFFroadOFFcourse3 ай бұрын
I also have a T7 review on my channel. I like the T7 very much, but although its one of the lightest bikes in it's segment, it feels super heavy (top heavy) and tall. To me thats a bit of a deal breaker because "ease of use" is something I value above all else. The performance is great though, and its probably one of the most reliable advs out there. If you are tall (lets say 1.90m or more), than its definitely a bike to consider

This bike (if it stands the test of time ) will be like the Suzuki DR650 only better. They would appear to have done some research into the market and heard what people want and made it.

Can you please elaborate on why you went for this bike versus the KTM 690 Enduro? I own a KTM 790 Adventure R and use it for commuting, travelling on and off road. I'm looking for a lighter bike that would still be good enough on countryside roads but lighter / more manoeuvrable off-road. I was considering the KTM 690 Enduro with a rally windshield head. Curious about your opinion
@OFFroadOFFcourse2 ай бұрын
I really didnt want a "rally bike" cause my job is to train and guide people. A ktm690 is great to ride like a hooligan but it will be boring and weird at low speeds...thats why in wanted something more "in between" a dual-sport and a big adv :) ...and cheap too xD

I am in a relatively same situation. I have a KLR 2014 with the same power and weight than the 450MT. However since the engine of the KLR is 650cc, the KLR goes at less RPM than the 450MT @ the same speed. I wonder if it would be a real upgrade going from the KLR to the 450MT. Cheers.
