OC: I would definitely be going with the 450SS. I'm on a Z400 now, but I wish I had held out a little for the 450SS or 450NK's to release here in the states because I definitely would have gone with one of those instead. They've got the looks, the sound, and just enough power for me to do what I want to do without getting into too much trouble as a "rookie rider" within my first few seasons of riding still.
@Frank_Torre2 ай бұрын
OC: I'd have to go with the 450SS, as an experienced rider with just over 15 years I do believe I'd get bored really fast on a 300SS. I've not been on anything that low in the CC range since my 1st bike a Ninja 250, excluding my Grom of course. Either one would be suitable for a new rider and be a perfect starting point before say moving up to the new 675SS. That said saving $1100 for gear for a new rider could easily cover nearly all their gear minus a Alpinestar airbag vest.

OC. Truth be told, I've been able to see and sit on the 450ss more in person than the 300 because the 300 isn't distributed here in the US currently. Why it got taken away, I don't understand. Taking that into consideration, I have more overall experience feeling what it is like to sit on the 450 and see it in person. That bike is so freaking cool looking and, as someone who has bad knees and a bad back, is surprisingly comfortable. I love the styling on both, but the 450 just has the extra cool factor and even stock it sounds amazing. Only because I've seen it more and sat on one at a dealership more, I'm leaning towards the 450ss. That being said, if I won the 300ss, I'm not going to be upset. Cfmoto is taking the market by storm and they need to be taken more seriously by the other bike makers and the consumer. Best bang for the buck out there right now. Thank you for yet another great video, Chase. Hope you're doing ok after that wreck man.

Not mentioned but something I think is significant is how much better the 450 sounds!
@benwiese4846Ай бұрын
One think to absolutely consider is especially if you are a new rider is the insurance will be higher (significantly higher from quotes I have got as a beginner) on the 450 when compared to the 300
@theRizzardofHoezАй бұрын
Iv had my 300ss since they first released in the US, and I love it. Tons of fun, fun to whip around town on, and great on gas. But the 450 is way more bang for the buck.

Either bike is a good option I think it depends on your build smaller a 300SS, a bit larger than 450SS.

You forgot to mention how much better the 300ss is after the Team MSC flash! I also switched mine to a titanium pipe, Yoshimura R77 exhaust, K&N high flow air filter, clip on bars, raised seat, Ohlins Blackline steering damper, adjustable rearsets, Brembo 14RCS master cylinder brake lever with Rizoma reservoir, a set of Bridgestone Battleax tires, and the Team MSC flash! Dropped the weight to 350. Max speed up to 168kph, and got it out on track 3 times this season. If youre a fan of the smaller bikes, the 300ss is a ripper for a good price!

@@adamwhite6797they did not outsource the engine. CF Moto makes the engine for 300 and 450, they also make engines, build bikes for other companies like KTM. They only used a KTM branded motor on 800 NK I believe.
